Starting tonight we are moving the daily backup from 1:30PM (EST) and will instead be starting it at 5:00AM(EST). We have done some statistical analysis and have decided that this is a better time to run this backup. The site will be unavailable for approximately 20 minutes while this daily backup runs.

    Did you know the backups have been getting longer? They used to take about 5-10 min and lately have been taking almost 30min.

    i was just wondering if there was anyway to erase emails for purged accounts because it bugs me that they stay on my email even after they're deleted and purged :-( if not then that's okay! i was just wondering

    Is something wrong with the 'Bloggish' layouts? My journal no longer has a layout at all, when it should be Bloggish - Forrest Green. Same goes for communities with that style.

    I don't usually comment here, but I just had a minor heart attack when I realized pretty much over 20 hours of customization just disappeared under bloggish. Not only that, none of the stylization contest styles is working. It seems to be the problem is that the custom CSS (and possible bloggish's CSS) is not being read by the browser.

    Bloggish was working earlier in the afternoon; I only noticed this at 11:09PM EST. At first I thought it was my end, but seeing that there are other people who are having the same problems convinces me it's IJ's code that's messing up.

    I know you've done statistical analysis and everything, but I just wanted to say that having these backups at this time is incredible inconvenient. This happens at 3am my time, which is a time I'm frequently on IJ trying to do stuff. Same with most of my friends. I know it's only a 20 minutes inconvenience, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

    Is there still a chance that you guys will be doing a sale to benefit Haiti? I'd like to purchase a few upgrades for some of my accounts but I'd rather do it when/if that's going on than right now.

    Since I noticed other people mentioning it here: my journal (bloggish) is also crapped up for some reason. I tried removing custom CSS completely to see if something there had suddenly changed the way it was working, but straight default bloggish is the same, if not worse.

    Mostly I'm just waiting on some kind of news about whether or not that's site-wide or if anyone has any idea what's causing it, etc. I'm not tech-savvy enough to figure out if there's a work-around on my end that I'm overlooking.

    not sure if i'm commenting in the right place, but i haven't been receiving notifications for a few of my journals. specifically, i'm not getting notifications when someone comments my journal. everything else is fine.
