We are running a short permanently insane accounts through the weekend. We need to catch back up after the expenses incurred to add our new backup solution that is now giving the site a solid daily backup. We thought the normal account sales would handle it but we are just a little bit behind.

    Having a sale on permament journals or self-committed in the future is a great idea but hopefully in time, you will allow members to pay by credit card. Not everyone is open to a paypal account. Or sending a check. I don't mind but it is more convenient to allow a credit card purchase.

      You can pay via credit card through paypal without opening a paypal account.

    If a paid user buys a permanent account, what happens to the paid time leftover? Will they be able to transfer it to another account the way they can on LiveJournal?

      Yes. Open a support ticket after you buy the permanent account, and Squeaky will transfer the remaining paid time to another account.

    I am having trouble logging into this journal (day_dreamer) without LJ Login, editing my userpics, and my personal info page due to the journal being in read-only mode right now while database maintenance is performed on the server where the journal is located. Try again in several minutes.

    This has been going on for at least 6 months and I don't know what to do anymore. I tried doing an open post in the support area and have yet to get a response.

    What is going on and what can be done to fix this problem?

        Yes, I can't even log in through the site either. I can only do it through LJ Login. Very Strange. I thought it was just maintenance but it has been like this a long time.

    Lately, I've been get occasional errors like this when I click a journal or a user profile:

    i don't know if this is where i should ask this, but i've recently tried to recover a password from an old journal...i get the confirmation page that it's sending to the email that i'm putting in, but i'm not getting the email. i do the same thing for the lost username part and i get that email right away. is there any reason it would be doing that? and if not, is there any other way to recover my password?

    just a heads up but gmail is sending all comment notifications to the spam folder for some reason.

      You can correct that by clicking on any comment notification, "filter messages like these," next, and "never send to spam.

    I actually haven't been getting all of my notifications today; I've checked my spam box and all of that and my email notifications have been a bit erratic- I get some of them on a couple of entries, all of them on others, and none on the rest.

    i'm not getting emails at all. i used to be getting them as spam but now i'm not receiving any and i use yahoo.

      The mail is not missing, there is just about a 3 hour delay on all comment notifs.

        Not strictly true. I'm getting some notifications normally, some delayed, and some not at all.
