I have made some changes to the notification center. First of all I have made it possible to mark items as read and delete items, also in the dramatic, worksafe, and monodramatic site schemes the link to the notification center now includes the number of read items.

I have also increased the number of subscriptions users can have to the following:

Free Patient: 50
Early Inmate: 100
Self-Committed [paid]: 500
Permanently Insane: 1000
Permanently Insane with Insane Userpics: 5000

Please be aware that the notification area is still in beta and there are some things that do not yet work.

    That's awesome. I love that you uped the number of icons for Permanently Insane accounts. Although I already have a Permanently Insane with Insane Userpics. X3

    And I hate being a negative nancy right after a post, but -- do you know anything about the problem with friendslists not displaying properly? I hope this is just a temporary glitch. :X

      We've looked into VGifts but the amount of time it would take to code them is prohibitive right now.

    Um...what is a subscription? I have a Permanent Insane account...I think I have extra userpics too...I forget.

      It means you can "subscribe" to a particular entry (by clicking on this icon) and get notified of replies. But the number of subscriptions is limited. They show up at the bottom of one's message setting page.

      You see the little thumbtack icon on someone's userinfo page? You can click that and "subscribe" to a certain user and you'll be notified when they upload an icon, update, when their birthday is coming up, or when the username is purged.

    The Notifications link shows up but when I go to delete something it's not allowing it, either in Firefox or Safari.

      I'm using Firefox and it's working just fine for me. Do you have anything disabled? (Javascript or other scripts?) I have an add-on to stop certain scripts and as long as it's disabled it won't work.

    the select all button in the corner isn't working for me. this means i have a couple accounts with over a thousand new notifications to delete by hand. from my point of view this isn't a good thing!

    Mmm, like the "check all" box? Deleting 1921 notifications is sure going to take a while doing it one at a time... :-/ (Even one page at a time is grueling, but it helps.)

    I did want to ask, is anyone looking into (bug-wise) when using the script in many RPGs to 'friend journals' in mass quantities through the admin console, friend groups keep getting erased. Any way to fix that?

    it says i have over 500 notifications but it won't load when i go to open it so i can delete them :(
