I have installed some performance tunings on the site that should help alleviate the problems that you all see on the site during peak hours. The tweaks have been in place since yesterday. We will continue to monitor the site and make sure things are running well. Hopefully this will mean that I wont have to spend so much of my time keeping the site running and I will be able to get back into working on site development and coding issues.

Also, if you missed the announcement a couple of days ago, we are now selling 1 month paid accounts for $5.

    I haven't experienced any comment rot for a long, long time; the site is just randomly lagging, and occasionally if I update it will log me back in as another account, but not through 'My IJ' portal.

    IJ keeps randomly logging me out. It's happened something like 7 times in the past 20 minutes now.

    please keep trying to find what is causing the problem for comment rot! do you have any idea at all if its something the user is doing so we can try to avoid it happening to us?

    are you guys having issues with journals with yahoo account emails, because several of mine are linked with yahoo, and i'm unable to see comments when i attempt to with them. and changing the email to gmail works for a moment, until i change too many over and then i get the same error notice.

      I'm getting the same message for several of my RP accounts, and all of them are on my hotmail e-mail. I'm talking to two friends who are also experiencing this issue.

    So far I've only experienced it when attempting to view and comment on other peoples journals (granted I haven't spent much time trying to log into other journals of mine to check); this is the first comment I've been able to leave.

      We do not see any problem with role playing. If an issue comes up we do ask that a note is put into the userinfo disclosing that it is, in fact, not the person who the account is stating that they are.

    What IS comment rot, anyway? I've heard several references to it, but don't know what it is. I don't think I've ever experienced it, since I don't know what it is.

    My "style contest" journal themes aren't working properly. The layouts are gone and the text is bigger on nothing but a white background. Please tell me this can be fixed.

    I hope I'm not posting something that was asked elsewhere, but I can't find any mention of the problem I'm having.

    My friendslist pages show 20 posts. When I try to go back to next page, the page is blank. When I try to change my friends pages preferences to more than 20 posts, it doesn't do anything. No matter what I do, it goes just to 20 posts and then ends. I don't think my account did this before.

    Hey Squeaky!

    I don't know if this has brought to your attention, but I have a new member that's trying to join our game but they're getting this tyoe of error:

    We have 6 game asylums and this is happening to all of them. Your help will be greatly appreciated :)

      uh all you have to do is try again or hit refresh... i'd rather have the comment rot fixed and focused on than that.

        I agree with you in theory, but comment rot has been unfixed for months and months. At some point he needs to stop and fix the smaller bugs.

          It's only a minor thing, really. Srsly, just hit refresh or back it up and re-do. It will work the second time.

    Thank you for all the hard work you do ~squeaky! I really do appreciate it but I'd just like to say that I hope you figure out the comment rot problem soon because I think I just experienced it for the first time on this account...right after I made it a paid account. :(

    All the comments and even the icon I posted with are suddenly gone (from the entry). I guess that's the same thing that everyone else has experienced?

    I've noticed that, sometimes, PMs do not get to their intended recipients. Could this just be hiccups in the internal system or is there an underlying problem that you may need to look into?

    Is the userpic server down? I'm having trouble seeing my user pics that were fine before, and I always get an error when I go to upload new ones.

    I am unable to log into my account for [info]poehler and I get this error every time:

    How do I fix this?
