I'd go for either sidebar one honestly, because the biggest issue for me is compatibility.

And since everyone else is sharing their Thoughts on Colors, I would like to toss in my two cents and note that actual dark themes, being easier on my eyes and possibly the environment, are my favorites. (Green on black is my very favorite, but I've yet to see that anywhere except my own IJ....)
