I see we have had another influx of new users here at InsaneJournal. It appears that a lot of you aren't very happy with the announcement over at our competition. I do have to thank all of you, a number of you have already taken advantage of our low cost upgraded accounts, and we really and truly do appreciate your generosity.

I do want to take the time to let you know that InsaneJournal has not ever been in talks with anyone to purchase the site, nor do we foresee there being any interest from either myself or any outside party to acquire this site. I have been running InsaneJournal for the past 6 years and love this site and respect all of our users.

I am going to also take this space to announce that starting today. We are going to be having a week long christmas sale. Until next monday we will be offering Permanently Insane accounts for $35, and we will be offering 12 month Self-Committed[paid] accounts for only $15. Head over to the Insane Journal Store and buy yourself or a friend an upgraded account.

    I've been extoling the virtues of IJ on the news comm at the OTHER SITE. I'm thrilled to see so many more coming on over. The only negative I've been hearing about in reference to IJ is the ugly orange colors of the site. Perhaps that could be changed? I know it bothers my eyes too. Just a suggestion.

      I have been thinking about a new site design. Apparently web design isn't my strongest point.

        softer colors is all people really really want. grey and orange dont exactly mesh. maybe you need some more feminine input? :P just put together the site the way you would put together your own outfit... i mean does it make sense to wear orange with grey? not to me anyway...

          Seeing as i pick out almost all of my husbands clothes, thats not the greatest example to use....


          We will be having a site design contest at some point in the future. Just waiting for a few other things to finishbefore we undertake anything else.

        IMO, White is a nice main background. I prefer white as a main background because, to me anyways, it seems to make things look more 'clean' and 'crisp'.

        Awww, I think the site's so cute... ;_; ♥ But I did sort of miss clean white as first. But it's grown on me :D!

      Heh, earlier today I stuck an advertisement for the permanent account sales in that thread over there, too. XD If enough of us do it, maybe more people will be tempted.

        That's right, InsaneJournal has seen many different designs over the years and they are all still accessible.
