I see we have had another influx of new users here at InsaneJournal. It appears that a lot of you aren't very happy with the announcement over at our competition. I do have to thank all of you, a number of you have already taken advantage of our low cost upgraded accounts, and we really and truly do appreciate your generosity.

I do want to take the time to let you know that InsaneJournal has not ever been in talks with anyone to purchase the site, nor do we foresee there being any interest from either myself or any outside party to acquire this site. I have been running InsaneJournal for the past 6 years and love this site and respect all of our users.

I am going to also take this space to announce that starting today. We are going to be having a week long christmas sale. Until next monday we will be offering Permanently Insane accounts for $35, and we will be offering 12 month Self-Committed[paid] accounts for only $15. Head over to the Insane Journal Store and buy yourself or a friend an upgraded account.

    reading my lj f-list, i see the worries about 6A selling to SUP and how they're planning on letting major corporations have their ads on lj. also sup apparently logs into accounts with your password - they state that yes, they have gotten permission, but i'm more than wary on that regard.

    i am more than thankful for finding IJ when i did. it's fandom friendly and i feel content here. i'm really glad that i got a permanent account, even if i didn't get it on sale. i don't mind paying full price for something i believe in. sales are a wonderful bonus and icing on the cake!

    i, like many other have been singing praises for IJ. I don't even use my GJ which i signed up for years ago.

      You're not kidding are you? .... That's nuts. I could barely understand what that post was talking about considering all the legal jargon, with that being said I think I'll be taking this move to IJ seriously.

      Thanks for clearing that up. (and dude, totally. Awesome Sauce is one of the most kickass words ever.)

        I wish i was kidding. the ads, they have link somewhere - i could find for you if you like, that basically states that anyone can apply to have an ad up on lj. so, you and i could apply for an ad, and the jewelery ads on ij could apply, and mcdicks and other places can now apply.

        i've already noticed that there's pepsi things in some of lj's expressive stuff. and i think that pepsi will be the first large corporate company to sign on.

        the legal jargon is something i don't mind combing through. you find loopholes that way *smirks*

        You're welcome! mind you, i am still reading everything, finding all the comments staff might have left that would contradict themselves. it's totally insane.

        awesomesauce is a totally kickass word. just like cockbite. *laughs* oh, i love rooster teeth productions!

                oh yes. lots and lots of magnets. OOOOOOh, those word magnets! the shakespeare, and erotic and, and... um. the poetry ones! i had them on my fridge, but my current fridge is far too bumpy.
