We are aware that a number of users are having issues receiving their InsaneJournal email from hotmail. I have been monitoring the InsaneJournal mail logs and I see that hotmail is accepting our mail but it is never reaching users' inboxes. I am trying to open a line of communication with them but it is proving difficult.

insanity and I have made a decision on the future sale of Permanently Insane accounts. We are going to stop selling them as an everyday item as of March 1st, 2008. We are looking at our long term cash flow and we realize that to keep the site going the way it is, we need to get a recurring revenue stream going and Permanently Insane accounts aren't going to do that.
No don't worry, if you already have one, we are going to leave it as is for the entire life of the site. And we will occasionally put them back up for sale, so they aren't gone forever. But this gives you 6 weeks to purchase them before they are pulled from the InsaneJournal store.
And to avoid any rumors, no we are not currently going to raise prices on Self-Committed accounts.
