InsaneJournal Announcements

Sometime later today, I am going to be moving InsaneJournal to our very own server (read: VERY GOOD THING). This will involve temporarily disabling the site while I move the traffic over to the new server. Hopefully this will be very quick and should only require a minimal amount of down time.

Some users may experience some odd errors for up to the next 2-3 days depending on how your Internet provider handles things. If you are having trouble reaching your journal using http://www.insanejournal.com/users/username try http://www.insanejournal.com/users/username/ (note the ending slash).

I would like to thank all of the users who bought accounts in the past month to help IJ support this move. Even though the monthly cost for running IJ has gone up with this server move, we will be able to start offering a lot more services that hopefully you guys will be willing to pay for.

If you are seeing this, that means that you are now using the new InsaneJournal server. Things should be much faster and stable here. Thank you to all of our users who helped make this possible.
