Those of us who remember LJ strike through (which spawned me to get my first IJ perm account! although I can no longer access it due to a dead email attached to it) are understandably wary, and with Tumblr's recent ridiculousness, it makes sense. I've been around the journal RP communities long enough to know that really, everything would be fine.

I think the primary concern would really be if we lose journals in the server migration, but that's for anything, isn't it?

So would upgrading our current servers allow IJ to maintain control over things (not sure what the set up is now)? That would be something to consider moving to AWS -- how much control will the IJ team have over their servers?
