| About: | ABOUT; Welcome to ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} anime_awards, an icontest asylum specifically for anime and manga icons. First off, you don't need to be an icon maker to join - we can always use new voters to help :)! Every week a theme will be posted and users will make icons based on it, then there will be polls to vote and awards given out. Pretty simple to follow.RULES; 1) You can only submit one icon per theme and they must be related to the theme. If I have any questions, I will ask you in the comments. 2) You can not promote your icon to get more votes. It must be kept a secret until AFTER winners are announced. Don't post it in your journal asking people to specifically vote for you. Promoting the asylum is always appreciated though :) 3) You must be the maker of that icon. If I find out it was made someone else, I'll be sure to humiliate you publicly (after proving it of course!). 4) All icons must follow the IJ guide lines. 5) To prevent drama, no fanart icons are allowed unless you are the artist of the image. Considering this icontest is for anime/manga, there are several images you can use. If I have any questions, they will be asked in comments. 6) To keep icons anonymous, submission posts will have screened comments. 7) No flaming icons! If you think an icon is terrible, offer constructive criticism instead of flat out insulting it. SUBMITTING; * Please have your icon on a hot-linkable server. If your icon is un-viewable come poll time, I will not be able to put it in the poll. * New submit posts will be up every Sunday and will be accepting icons until Saturday. The dates will always be posted with the submission posts. * Submit with the following format: [icon] [icon URL] [additional information] Your comment should be similiar to this:  http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q211/thelifebinder/icons/001/DeedlitNonAnimated.png Deedlit from the series 'Record of Lodoss War' VOTING; * Voting will be held off if not enough icons were submitted for the week. * Voting will be done by commenting on the voting post. All comments will be screened. * IP logging is enabled to catch multiple accounts voting for the same icons. * Voting will end late at night since I live on the west coast :) Voting will begin on Saturday and last until Tuesday. WINNING; * If your icon places first, second, third, or any of the special categories we have running you will receive a banner.
