"Well, zee people at zhis school seem to lack..." This time, Gabrielle actually struggled to find the English word. "...vision? Vision to see what iz truly zhere. Zhey can be...blind to zee obvious." As much fun as Hogwarts was supposed to be, Gabrielle was bitter about how little fun it actually was!
Gabrielle, not one to feel bad usually, felt pity for Luna losing her mother. "I am zo sorry," she told her honestly. "It iz nice you are close to your father zhough." She regarded Luna for a moment. "Iz 'e protective of you?"
Nodding, Gabrielle wondered who might be a less serious type that Luna might be referring to. "Oh?" she prompted, wondering if Luna would tell her.
"It iz nice," Gabrielle purred. Sitting down, she guided Luna to sit close to her so that their hips and legs were lightly touching. She took Luna's hand again and looked out over the lake.
"It iz romantic, non?" she sighed. "I am French, we know romantic." She giggled at her own joke. Resting their hands on Luna's knee, Gabrielle's fingertips lightly stroked Luna's bare knee.
