Who: Eleanor Branstone and Garnet Lavenia Draiden
What: Elly is going to see her friend in snake territory.
When: Feb 10, 1995. Middle of 5th year. Monday afternoon.
Where: Outside the Slytherin Dungeon

Elly was hovering near the Slytherin Dungeon, not really a safe place for a lone Hufflepuff to be hanging around. She had already been on the receiving end for some shite from Malfoy and his cronies. Because she was doing nothing wrong and it was nowhere near curfew she told them to sod off. Which, they had pretty much done. However, Elly wasn’t convinced there might not be some retribution later.
In her school skirt, hemmed a bit higher than regulations permitted, she had her tie almost totally undone and her blouse was untucked and askew. She had a pack of fags hidden in her pocket and her wand was tucked in the waistband of her skirt at the small of her back.
She whistled idly as she waited for her friend Garnet to emerge. As she waited, she reflected on how much had changed in the four years they’d been friends. Elly’s parents had passed away in a Muggle car crash leaving Elly to be shuffled off to foster home after foster home because her mother’s Pureblood family didn’t want a halfblood hovering around them. She’d been getting into more and more trouble and had just generally been a wild teenager, to say the least.
Elly spent her time partying and hanging around with some Muggle friends that were hardly the goody two shoes of Dublin when she was away from Hogwarts. Having experimented with quite a few things, she had never really admitted to most of it even to Garnet. She really didn’t know how wizards and witches would react to it.
Hoping garnet would want to go for a walk, Elly realized she was dying to sneak a fag. Hopefully she would come out soon! |
