Who: Mandy and Roger When: Friday evening Where: Roger's flat What: Making Toby feel better Rating: G Status: Incomplete
Not being a mother, and hardly used to the sort of things children could be up to, Mandy thought Toby's illness was a lot more complicated than it surely was. Ever since seeing Roger's note in the journals, Mandy had been busy making a potion for Toby. She'd also prepared them dinner, certain that Roger had been just a bit too busy to cook much of anything. And wasn't there something about chicken soup being good for when one wasn't feeling well? It didn't help that Mandy hadn't really seen Toby in over a week, and was feeling rather bad about it. The little boy was truly her favourite, and she adored him to pieces. As much as he adored her, or so she hoped anyway.
As for seeing Roger? Part of her was really excited, she had missed him more than she was really willing to admit, and the rest of her? The rest of her was afraid what sort of ridiculous thing she was going to say to him. The last two times she'd seen him things had pretty much exploded, and it was lucky they weren't at each other's throats. She hoped this time could be a little better, although she sincerely doubted it.
Once the potion was ready, Mandy had filtered it from the cauldron into a vial for her to carry. Having slipped that into her purse, she waived her wand at the pot on the hot place (well,it was useful for something, right?) and stirred the soup a few more times, before waiving her wand again, and levitating the hot pot toward the container she'd gotten just just that reason. A few more spells and everything was right and clean again, so Mandy could finally go. As she was still in the Leaky, Mandy was able to quickly make her way from the pub into Diagon Ally and toward Roger's place. Once she'd reached the now familiar door, Mandy paused, and knocked on the door.
