It was too much to stomach that early in the morning. Her parents had called her downstairs the minute she'd stepped out of bed, indicating that they 'needed to talk to her'. Astoria knew they didn't need to talk to her, they only wanted to; she also knew exactly what the topic of discussion would be - her. This 'need to talk' happened at least once a month and got increasingly intense as time wore on. Astoria was sure the next time she entered the living room, both her parents would be there prepared with a list of career prospects, an essay detailing how and why her sister was more successful than her in every way imaginable and a line-up of eligible bachelors from which she could choose from in order for her to get married on the spot.
And that's how she ended up in Hogsmeade.
It wasn't really a conscious decision on her part, she didn't really know where she wanted to Apparate to until she got there; but Hogsmeade was always a welcome destination in any case. Weaving her way through the many people that already filled the street, Astoria dodged a rogue owl as it whipped past her head and headed toward the Post Office and ducked into the side street that led to Madam Puddifoots. Entering the small teashop she noticed that there were a few people already enjoying morning tea, but the place wasn't overly busy just yet. Astoria procured herself a small table in the corner and sat down, already finding herself relaxing in the pleasant atmosphere.
