Who: Alice projectalice & Claire claireredfield What: Hey Gurl, Hey Where: Main Arrival Hotel When: Monday, August 8, evening Rating/Warnings: Parental Guidance Suggested Status: Closed/In-Progress
Wastelands were the reality Alice was accustomed to at home. She wandered the lobby of the hotel she'd arrived in with hands outstretched. Her fingertips grazed over fine fabric-covered chairs, smooth walls, past live plants whose waxy leaves felt far too real to ever be faked; Alice wondered what world she lived in now. People milled around everywhere without any of the sense of panic she was used to in the world ruined by Umbrella.
People knew each other sporadically. They were meeting up on the internet-based chats and bumping into each other at events created by their captors. Who had taken them? How had they come to be here? Were they really here or was this some kind of mental game designed to keep them from realizing they were all in some Umbrella lab somewhere? Anything was possible.
Alice had seen herself die, clawed her way out of a pile of bodies exactly like her own, and felt what it was to be reborn.
There was nothing which was considered impossible to her any longer.
"Hey there."
Her voice was rusty, a harsh rasp. It was hot on the island and Alice still wasn't ready to start up conversations with strangers. The woman across from her was no stranger. She was someone Alice knew well and someone she'd always want to run into when trouble was dogging her feet.
Claire.
"I've been waiting to look up people from home. I didn't want to know if anyone was here---or if they weren't. I'm not saying I like being alone. I guess I'm saying I'm used to it."
What did Claire remember from home?
People seemed to come from different times and even different realities. Who could blame Alice if she was too cautious for even the most simple of conversations."
