Is it wise to wear a thick, adorable onesie for Halloween? I feel like it's the most unoriginal costume out there but right now it's my only option. I didn't think there would be any parties for me to attend to. My old man self dictated that I should just stay in bed with a Stephen King book but meh... my brain's too hyper to not care about Halloween.

So help me decide here. Should I go in my Pikachu onesie, or forgo all sense of decency and just wear this...

This option only came about because I have literally nothing to wear as a costume other than the pair of white pants. Wings and halo from the drama department. I feel like this idea will end up with me having a cold after the party, though.

So I went to visit my dad in New York last weekend and he asked if we could go visit some of mom's friends in Salem. Of course I said yes, it's been a while since I went there. We lived there for like five years after their divorce and my dad sort of tried to reconnect with my mom's old friends when she fell ill. They were all so nice to me, but they're old and so I had to find new stuff to do on my own. Good thing my childhood friend Becca was still around. We went to this hipster cafe and made new friends...

Guy on the left most part of the photo is Milo, and the one beside me is his cousin Jack. Super cool guys who made us listen to K-Pop (because they're Koreans). Oh and they're college students too, not far from my age. We're all Twitter friends now. Isn't it awesome how dynamic this generation is? Like, I could travel and go to one place and reconnect with people, old and new, and that connection could last longer than before because of this thing called the Internet! Anyway, this is getting long now. How's everyone doing so far?

Hey, I'm Owen, but I go by Oby mostly. I'm new to town. I haven't put any roots down in a long time, but I figure I'll probably stay here in Joplin for a while so I might as well try and meet some people and find some work.

I'm a carpenter by trade, ticketed and everything, so if you need anything built or fixed, let me know. I'll do a quote for free and I have all my own tools.

Otherwise... Anyone got any local fave places I sbould know about? Food, sights, entertainment, whatever.

After some careful thought and consideration, I came out to them. Turns out, they had suspected...only cause I never dated or talked about 'hot' women. They assured me that nothing would change, and then we continued with our regular poker night.

Of course, a few beers in they began to ask me if I thought any of them were attractive. Haha!
