Jalia had just gotten off work at Ame Noir, and decided to visit Josh on her way home from work. She had walked to Josh's apartment from Ame Noir before, but only with him. She knew her way, or at least the way that Josh had shown her. She had decided to walk to Josh's apartment, mainly because it felt so good outside. Nice and cool, the air was almost crisp. As soon as she stepped out of the club and breathed in the cool night air, she thought she had made the right decision.
She was about halfway to Josh's apartment, when she heard some soft footsteps behind her. She turned the corner, and the footsteps followed. The first thought that crossed her mind was an oh, shit. She knew it was late at night, and she knew it probably wasn't the safest thing to be walking alone in downtown Boston, whether it be muggle Boston, or wizarding Boston. She sped up her pace slightly, and the person behind her seemed to speed up as well. And the person seemed to be catching up to her as well. She knew she probably should apparate, it would be the easiest way to get away. But she didn't want to do anything that would get her in trouble, just in case it was a muggle following her. Before she completely made a decision, the person was right behind her, his hand on her elbow. There was a light sound from Jalia, and she jumped at the touch. She turned around towards the person behind her, and her eyes widened as she spotted the man behind her. Her grip on her purse tightened as he tried to grab it from her. She knew she couldn't apparate with him touching something she was touching, she'd apparate him as well.
She struggled for a moment, trying to get the purse away from him. It was probably not the smartest thing she could have done, and she realized this when she felt a fist against her stomach. Luckily, the purse was still on her shoulder, so she still had control of that. "Get off me!" Her voice was loud, and she kneed the man in the groin. As soon as he stumbled backward, his hand letting go of the purse, she apparated away from the spot. She found herself in front of Josh's door, and she knocked loudly on it. "Josh, let me in, please...." She knocked on the door once more. "Please, Josh."
