What: Valentine's Day Bash Where: The Haven When: Thursday Night Warnings: TBD The lights pulsed and swayed, casting shadows over the nearly countless decorations plastered in nearly every corner of the club. Heart-shaped disco balls reflected beams onto the dance floor, red, pink and white balloons, confetti, table covers, wall hangs. Even a few hilariously shaped pinatas dotted a few areas. The straws were red tonight, the waitresses dolled up much like for Halloween, but with a Valentine's theme. The head bartender's attempt at Cupid was laughable, but it was getting him more free drinks than any other night of the year. A few of the waitresses and bartenders had set up a charity kissing booth on the stage, and the line leading there never seemed to stop. Many of the same people could be seen dropping from the front of the line just to return to the back, wanting to get just another smooch from their favorite server. Five bucks was more than enough to pay per smackeroo to some. The place was packed, the bass thrumming like a heart beat around the countless bodies shoved tightly together like sardines. Regulars, newcomers and their hunnies, singles with no real reason to stay home for the holiday. The club was catering to everyone, mutants and non-mutants alike for this one special night. Parties like this, as usual, meant security was tripled, four guys at the door, two lingering near each public bar, several others keeping their eyes on the crowd. The staff had also increased in size to allow even those who worked there time for some fun and dancing. Somewhere, within the mass of people, Simon Raynes was meeting and sharing drinks.
