Computer? Elizabeth thought. She obviously knew that over such a long period of time a lot of things would have changed--especially the available technology, she guessed. Judging by those she had met so far, the future had a lot of things in it that she never could have imagined in 1811. Realizing this, it made it easier to talk to people. When they said something odd, she simply attributed it to the fact that the future was a place she wouldn't understand and moved on. She hoped it made her appear less crazy.
"The man I am acquainted with is called Jim Kirk. I am unsure of his occupation but I can reveal that he is not British. He originates from America, I believe." Elizabeth tried to recall her conversation with Jim Kirk. She wasn't sure he ever specified what he did for a living. "While conversing he did mention something unfamiliar to me called 'intergalactic war.' Does this phrase have any meaning to you, John?"
