Within half an hour of Neville's "we need to talk" in the journals, Mandy was checked out of hotel, suitcase in hand as she Apparated to the Zurich Portkey Authority. She booked a Portkey to Edinburgh -- there were none to London anytime soon; and Edinburgh was closer to Hogsmeade. An hour and a half after their brief conversation, Mandy opened her front door, her stomach in knots.

She wasn't ready for this conversation. Neville was too dear, her divorce too new, to try to quantify what exactly her relationship with Neville was, beyond sex. And yes, she could admit, it was really good sex. And more than that, it was friendship, the best sort. Neville didn't judge; he listened; he gave advice; and he gave brilliant hugs. All of which she needed.

Inhaling deeply and letting it out slowly, she stepped into the house and closed the door behind her. "Neville?"
