Jack/Ianto
1. H/C & Angst - Ianto comforts Jack after he is raped, and their actions towards the rapist when he is found (bonus points if he is found by PC Andy)
2. H/C & angst. Post-In the Shadows. Jack's ordeal is coming back to haunt him. How do Ianto and the team help him deal with the fear and uncertainties left behind by his experiences in Hell? Notes: Bottom!Jack is love; no graphic het sex, please.
3. Angst - Jack's been on Earth a long time working for Torchwood; someone must have recognized his sacrifices along the way. Jack/Ianto is fine; bottom Jack is better. No graphic het (although prior het revealed is okay)
4. Angst, Mpreg - Post-CoE - The virus didn't kill Jack, his body was simply busy protecting a special gift (let's just say they said 'screw the beans!' *g*). Don't care if Ianto is brought back somehow or Jack ends up with someone else, so long as it's Ianto/Jack, Doctor/Jack (Nine [somehow] or Ten only), or John/Jack
5. Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Past non con - Post-KKBB - True to Jack's word, Jack takes Ianto out to dinner and a movie. The date, much to Ianto's surprise, doesn't end with sex. Over the next several weeks, Jack continues to 'court' Ianto, but physically things don't progress beyond kissing and some light groping. Every time things start to get hot and heavy, Jack pulls away, saying that he wants them to do things 'right'. Ianto appreciates the sentiment, he wants a proper relationship this time round with Jack, but he begins to get frustrated with the slow pace, so he decides that next time he's not going to let Jack pull away. This triggers a flashback to Jack's time on the Valiant, and Ianto is horrified to learn that Jack spent a year being brutalized and raped, and that he wasn't taking things slowly for Ianto's benefit, but for his own. Lots of comfort and protective Ianto please!
6. Humour - Jack and Ianto are in the middle of their civil ceremony when John crashes the ceremony, determined to win Jack back. Naturally Ianto isn't about to let that happen. I'm thinkin' outrageous!John and possessive!Ianto fighting over a bemused Jack would be a lot of fun :-D
7. H/C, and angst. Post YTNW. After his ordeal with the Master, Jack is on the brink of a nervous breakdown. Ianto is forced to take him on leave and confront his rather severe PTSD. No character death.
8. Angst with eventual H/C, Jack/Ianto (with Jack/OMC as a side). Post series two. One of the guard aboard the Valiant is blackmailing Jack into a relationship with him. Will Ianto leave him, or will he find a way to help him? No character death.
9. H/C with some angst. AU post COE. Ianto survived, but he now has to deal with Jack's actions in 1965 and with Steven. Can he forgive him?
10. Angst, H/C - Anytime post-EoD - AU What if Jack didn't wake up 'fine' after his experience with Abaddon and was unable to grant the team an [overly generous and unearned] apology. The team is forced to face the consequences of their betrayal. Can be either Gen or J/I slash - no J/G.
11. Humour fic. Ianto plays a joke on Jack, Jack has his revenge! Can be as funny or as downright dirty as you like. Nothing much squicks me, promise!
12. Humour, mpreg - Jack's practising his 'Ianto, I'm pregnant' speech, getting more and more outrageous with each attempt. He doesn't hear Ianto come up behind him until he hears a crash and looks around to find Ianto on the floor, having fainted. Claims: twilightHDfan
13. AU - any/all of the following: Jack/Ianto, Jack/any member(s) of TW3, Jack/known universe Jack is not the leader of Torchwood, just a regular team member. He was never forced into the position because Alex Hopkins didn’t kill his team. Instead, he made changes to get them ready, recruited Jack as a full-time member of TW, is slowly training him to be a team player instead of the loose canon and loner he was before (slowly, because a hundred years of routine is hard to change). The natural turnover of Torchwood means that, one by one, the original team is replaced by the team we know from canon +Alex or a different leader who isn't Jack, perhaps Suzie? They skip over Jack because he doesn’t want the responsibility, still waiting for the Doctor. The plot can be an AU retelling of one or more canon episodes, deal with how things are different because of different team-dynamics (the more different the better) – or an entirely original story. I'd prefer Jack/Ianto to be included as a pairing, but since Jack will be Jack, and this time, he isn’t in a position where sexual relationships would damage his authority, he might or might not be sleeping with each one of his co-workers, either as a one-off or semi-regularly, as a sort of bonding exercise. I don't like relationship-angst (especially from Ianto) so I'd prefer if all involved were okay with the arrangement and didn’t expect more from it than what they're going to get (although they can get more than they expected). No BDSM or bloodplay, please. Or else it can be more or less gen.
14. Future Fic - any/all of these: Jack/Ianto, Jack/anyone, Ianto/anyone, Jack/Ianto/anyone, Jack/Jack/Ianto Fic centred on Jack's family in the 51st century and his home planet, in which Jack (and Ianto) are planning to stay and spend a human lifetime there rather than just a quick visit home. The 20th century has changed Jack. He only realises it when he gets home and people tell him he's become backward and what's with all those labels and ancient connotations? Since when has it become such a big deal to tell his feelings someone he loved? (Can contain immortal!Ianto or long-lived!Ianto, secretly-alien!Ianto, genetically altered!Ianto, but no Time Lord!Ianto, plz) Can be the sort of AU where something in the past changed and Gray wasn’t caught by the aliens and his father wasn’t killed, but Jack is already a fixed point, so his personal timeline doesn’t change. In fact, there can be a second Jack (young, Time Agent, or pre-Doctor conman!Jack who might never become immortal, or at least immortal!Jack tries to prevent it) and I wouldn’t mind a Jack/Jack/Ianto pairing to go with it – eventually, after a lot of complications. Can contain mpreg (Jack) if you want to go the family-way. No BDSM or bloodplay, please. But I'd prefer if it also had some sort of mystery plot, even if it only pertains what Jack's been doing these past few thousand years and how Ianto is alive after all this time.
15. Missing-two-years-fic - Jack/Ianto, any other pairing that makes sense within the story. Time Agent!Jack tracked Gray's whereabouts to a cryogenic chamber in 21st century Cardiff. The cause of when everything changes in the 21st century? It is due to his attempt at freeing and rehabilitating Gray and his fight against Torchwood (and his immortal self but he never learns about that). Morally-ambiguous-everything-for-his-brother!Jack preferred, but not outright evil!Jack. In the end, he needs to be retconned because he has seen Torchwood, and/or learnt of his future. Alive!Ianto preferred but not required. If it is post-CoE then please, don't default to a cliché fix (for example, I'd consider it a non-cliché idea if TimeAgent!Jack used some future!tech to bring back Ianto (in whatever condition) and offered him in exchange for his brother). Or it can be just a complete AU plotline for S3 (but post-Exit Wounds, obviously). Can contain John Hart (from immortal!Jack's timeline because an earlier version would be against canon) as it would be interesting to see where his loyalties would be in such a situation (he'd probably find a way to play and, eventually, betray both sides LOL) but no older!Jack/John pairing and especially no John/Ianto, please. I'd also like to see at least part of it from young!Jack's POV. No BDSM or bloodplay, please.
16. Jack/TARDIS, Jack/Ianto, or Jack/Doctor/TARDIS - Jack dancing with a newly humanoid TARDIS - Knowledge of the Type 102s would be helpful but isn't essential. If you can do Jack/Ianto/TARDIS believably, go for it. If you want to do Jack/Doctor/TARDIS, please set it far in the future. I'd love a long plotty story with both Ianto and Ten learning that they'd underestimated the TARDIS' relationship with Jack and Jack acting as her interpreter for a human culture that he doesn't quite get himself -- but a one-shot of them in a telepathic dream would make me happy too. Really, I just want to see them dancing. :)
17. AU, H/C, Angst, eventual Ianto/Jack - There is a small village named Torchwood. Its residents include the local innkeeper, Rhys, and his wife, Gwen, Constable Andy, Dr. Owen Harper and his wife, Toshiko. The wealthiest landowner, Ianto, is a widower. One evening, a traumatized, mute young man stumbles into town and captures everyone's heart. Up to you if the reason he's mute is due to the trauma or if it's a permanent condition (deafness could also be an option in this event). No period pieces, please, it should be a modern-time AU.
18. "I wouldn't even know how to get your ship pregnant!" Ideally set in season 2 Torchwood, with past Jack/TARDIS, present Jack/Ianto -- how important the relationships are to the story is up to you. No violence or heavy angst, please (including death of hypothetical babies of any species, even handled crackishly). *g*
19. Humour, drag, graphic sex - Someone in Torchwood has to go undercover. Lucky for Jack and his lover (can be either Gwen or Ianto, but not both) Jack's the only one with the voice and legs for it. Singing Jack in drag! The TW team discover a talent they never knew Jack had, and Jack's lover discovers a kink they never knew they had. Bottom!Jack please. Added bonus if Owen is horrified to find himself turned on (because who doesn't like to have a laugh at Owen's expense :-D )
20. Humor or Angst or both. Owen discovers Jack's fear of 'spidery mouse things' (refer to deleted scene from S1 ep7) and decides to have some fun at his boss's expense. Can be Gen or J/I slash. Bonus points if we get a scene detailing WHY he has such an aversion to the creatures.
21. Ianto/Jack, Ianto/Female!Jack - Double Genderbender, Angst, H/C, [attempted] rape - An alien device turns Jack into a woman and Gwen into a man. While this presents some confusion in one relationship (Rhys is not entirely sure how he feels about being engaged to a man) and opens some new horizons for another (Ianto quite enjoys exploring his lover's new body - does not need to be explicit if want to keep it strictly slash), it also proves to have a darker side: Jack's pheromones are out of whack and the team soon discovers one member of the team is unusually sensitive to them when Gwen loses control and attacks Jack. No character bashing - Gwen's altered state should be kept in mind with regards to the assault (i.e. it's clear she would not act in such a matter under normal circumstances), but letting Ianto get one punch in would be nice as I'm a sucker for protective!Ianto.
22. Humor, Genderbender. Can be either Jack/Ianto Slash or Gen. Jack gets turned into a woman somehow. Don't really care what the plot is, but I just want to see a scene where John Hart is there and says something like 'I guess we know who the wife is now' about the time Jack is experiencing his first case of PMS and Ianto has to stop Jack from shooting him. Claims: Gem72au
23. Ianto/Jack, Ianto/Female!Jack - Angst, Genderbender. Jack accidentally gets turned into a woman. Owen and Tosh have to find a way to turn him back, but Torchwood being Torchwood, things keep getting in the way. At first, the change doesn't seem so bad and Jack's all for some new fun in the bedroom, but then he notices that while Ianto's always been insistent upon them avoiding PDAs when anyone's around in the past, he suddenly seems more inclined to show his affection for Jack around the others. Hence a bit of angst and insecurity on the Captain's part, which is exacerbated by the fact the transformation seems to be more than physical and even though they don't realize it at first, everything that makes him "Captain Jack Harkness" is slowly being consumed by the new female persona.
24. Jack/Ianto or none - Forgiving doesn't mean forgetting, and the Valiant hasn't changed that. He has plenty of reason to be wary of his team -- especially Owen.
25. Early season 2. Someone (Martha or Tish?) points out to Jack that a guy who's betrayed him twice already might not be the best option. Bonus points if Ianto overhears. (Happy J/I ending preferred but not essential.)
26. Angst, Dr. Who, Humour, Action/Adventure, H/C - Jack/Ianto (and whatever else you'd like to throw in, I am not averse and actually rather like Jack/Alonso or Jack/Eleven) - I'd love a post CoE and post End of Time fic where Jack somehow comes into contact with the "Pete's world" version of Ianto who is alive, but not the Ianto Jack lost. It could be silly: makes bad coffee, thinks suits are scratchy and uncomfortable, or it could be deliciously angsty, as in he never joined Torchwood 1 or 3, Lisa was never 'upgraded', he was ret-conned after the events of Cyberwoman. . . whatever you like. Recognizably a different man, regardless, and Jack has to deal with that while still grappling with the alternating feelings of joy at finding him again and loss/grief for the man he loved, possible complications by having moved on, etc. Happy or sad ending is up to you! No Hardcore kinks, MPREG, or BDSM.
27. Category: relationship, sex - Jack/Ianto and others - Even in the 21st, not everyone is monogamous. Ianto is actually pretty open minded so long as he feels emotionally secure with his partner (or partners!). I'd love to see a story where he and Jack have a healthy open relationship; it can be poly in that they have another mutual lover, or open in the sense that Jack or Ianto have periodic other lovers (more than just one night stands would be great!). I'm fine with h/c, drama and so on if the general gist of the story is that they are working out the parameters of their relationship and it ends happily for both (or more!) of them. I'd be quite happy with them taking another lover, preferentially an OC (or Tosh!) and entering a stable triad.
28. Jack/Ianto (can be the focus or just a background element) - Either Ianto or Tosh is caught up in a hostage or similar criminal crisis situation -- one that's not remotely under Torchwood's jurisdiction. Bonus points for Kathy Swanson bossing Jack around.
29. Jack/Ianto to start, can end Jack/Ianto, Jack/Tosh or Jack/Ianto/Tosh - In one timeline, the TARDIS brings a Jack who's lost everything to see a living Ianto one last time -- and the Doctor isn't pleased when he returns pregnant. In another, everything has lost Jack, the team's anger blinding them until too late to the fact that he's returned from the Valiant mortal and vulnerable. The TARDIS thinks she can fix both problems, but this Ianto was never Jack's lover and this Jack isn't going to risk losing another child.
30. Jack/Ianto, one-sided: PC Andy/Jack, Katie Swanson/Jack, whoever else you want/Jack. - Fluid gender identity of a 51st century human. Involves: Telepathic aliens who only accept female leaders but know squat about human biology. Joint-liaison between the aliens, Torchwood and the Police. Jack in a pencil skirt suit and sensible heels; Tosh helping him with an understated make-up, Gwen experimenting on styling his hair into a more feminine shape (yup, they're having fun). Katie Swanson doing a double-take every few minutes and then, incongruously, finding herself having girl-talk with Jack and one of the alien leaders during recess; PC Andy developing an embarrassing crush. Even Ianto, who has seen Jack naked and up close more than once, wonders if perhaps he just hadn’t looked close enough. (Jack's "real" gender is up to the author, which is why Het category might apply.)
31. Jack/Ianto[can be background], Jack/Nostrovite - Mpreg, AU for Something Borrowed: it is Jack who gets "impregnated" by the Nostrovite. Erm, and he could just kill himself to get it out so think of some other complication as well. :P
32. Jack/Ianto - angst with eventual H/C. - Post series two. Non-con and eventual recovery from such. Ianto catches Jack sleeping with someone else- except he doesn't realize that it's not Jack's choice. He ends up leaving Jack for a while (and maybe he even gets Gwen to turn against Jack as well) until the man he caught Jack with is arrested. Ianto now must fix the biggest mistake he has ever made. I don't want to see Ianto as a total jerk- just someone who misunderstood what was going on. Eventual happy ending. No character death.
33. Jack/Ianto. Angst and H/C. COE fix. I've seen stories where the events of COE have been all a dream. But I would like to see a version where it was all in Jack's head and he's been catatonic- due to all of the trauma he's dealt with (YTNW, being buried alive for 1900 years)in a short time- for all the months he was supposed to be traveling. You can change everything from COE (such as Ianto's background and Gwen's pregnancy) or not. Should have Jack getting some actual professional help during the fic. No character death.
34. love ianto but i am tired of bastard jack hurts poor wee lamb ianto who while dating a nice person forces jack to grovel his way back to ianto's bed and heart, time for a bad ianto who has to grovel his way back to jack. added points for tosh/martha take jack's side. no gwack please.
35. Past Jack/Ianto. In the six months between CoE and leaving the planet, Jack walked the Earth for himself, but found that he wasn't ready to jump into another person's bed. What else did he do in that time? (can be a fix-it if the filler wants) Claims: Wildeagain
36. AU. Most fics that have Jack saying "no" to Torchwood involve them then enslaving and/or experimenting on him and Jack reverting to some kind of non-Jack mentality. What if Jack had escaped them instead? Somehow after being on the run from Torchwood for over 100 years and trying to find his Doctor, Jack meets up with one Ianto Jones, employee of Torchwood London. (Happy ending please, with Jack and Ianto together)
37. The reason Jack's two years were wiped from his memory are because they involve Gray AND Ianto (optional Gray/Ianto non-con). Bonus if it's also somehow a CoE fix-it
38. AU. Jack is a fabulously wealthy ruler wondering what he's doing with his life, and Gwen, Owen, and Tosh (and Suzie) are part of his large harem. Ianto is his newest (and soon to be favorite) concubine.
39. A CoE-related fic, does not actualy have to be CoE compliant, Jack/Ianto.The reason Jack hates being referred to as a couple with Ianto (please don't hand wave it as "oh he's only a part-time shag" because we know he's not). Could be something as simple as hating 19th/20th/21st century labels or something like the last time he considered himself to be a couple with someone (male or female) they died horribly and it hurt that much more, or anything in between.
40. Because of something alien, Jack is split into two people. And in the time-honored cliché, one Jack is good, and one Jack is evil. To be more specific, one Jack is how he was pre-Doctor (pre-Time Agency memory wipe if the filler chooses) and the other is how he is post-The Year That Never Was, except their personalities are getting more and more extreme: bad!Jack is getting more violent and good!Jack is getting more insecure and both Jacks are being forced to face parts of themselves that they never wanted to. Bonus if you factor the way each Jack treats Ianto into it, but it doesn't need to be a focus or anything.
41. Gen/Adult or Slash: Ianto/Jack, Doctor/Jack (Nine or Ten only), or John/Jack - I have to admit I find myself very disturbed by Jack's colleagues' (both the team and the Doctor) blasé attitude at times toward his inability to die / rapid healing. I'd really like to see something where the true horror of the situation is brought to light : could be via body swap(s), or perhaps Jack's been exposed to something that makes his feelings/thoughts accessible to those around him, or whatever.
Jack/Doctor
42. Angst, H/C - Nine/Jack - They thought they were past the Doctor's mistrust of Jack, but when an incident occurs and he jumps to conclusions, how will he make it up to Jack? No threesomes, het, BDSM or hardcore kinks. Prefer bottom!Jack. Bonus points if you can work in some Jack mpreg, though it's not necessary.
45. Master/Jack, Nine/Jack - The Valiant: Nine is dead and the Master never got to meet him.
Jack/John
47. Angst, Mpreg - Post-CoE - The virus didn't kill Jack, his body was simply busy protecting a special gift (let's just say they said 'screw the beans!' *g*). Don't care if Ianto is brought back somehow or Jack ends up with someone else, so long as it's Ianto/Jack, Doctor/Jack (Nine [somehow] or Ten only), or Jack/John
48. Mpreg, angst, pre-Torchwood - What if it was John who wiped Jack's 2 years from his memory, and not the time agency? Jack meets John when he joins the time agency. John's a little older and is charmed by Jack's 'innocence' (having grown up in a tiny colony on the outskirts). They become lovers and Jack eventually becomes pregnant. Having a family settles John down, and both Jack and John are very happy. Their child somehow dies when he/she is roughly a year old (John is somehow to blame for the death). Jack shuts down emotionally and starts becoming the con-man we first met in Dr Who. John's many addictions start getting out of control; he blames himself for the death of their child, and killing the 'innocence' he once loved about Jack. He decides the only solution is to wipe Jack's memories to earlier in their relationship before Jack became pregnant.
Jack/original Captain Jack Harkness
50. Drama, Romance - CJH - Captain Jack Harkness dies in WW2 saving the lives of the pilots under his command. Only it's not the REAL Cpt Jack that dies. TW Jack sends Cpt Jack through the rift with Tosh, and takes his place flying in the training mission and reinacting the original Cpt Jack's death. Back in the present, TW Jack helps original Jack find his place in the world. Original Jack joins TW, and the two men fall in love. No Jack/Ianto/Jack please, just Jack/Jack.
Jack/Rhys
51. Post-CoE, Angst - Jack managed to stay away for a couple months, but gradually realized he needed to go back to Earth to honor Ianto and Steven's sacrifices. Torchwood now also includes Rhys, Andy, Martha and Mickey. Surprisingly, the person he's able to confide in most is Rhys and the two of them start to grow closer as Rhys' marriage slowly begins to crumble.
Misc. Pairings
53. Can contain mpreg (Jack) if you want to go the family-way. No BDSM or bloodplay, please. But I'd prefer if it also had some sort of mystery plot, even if it only pertains what Jack's been doing these past few thousand years and how Ianto is alive after all this time.
54. Jack/Alex - The 1990s, Jack, Alex, Alice. In my head, Jack and Alex were occasional lovers, mainly friends since Alex was mainly straight, and he encouraged Jack to rebuild his relationship with Alice after Lucia cut him out. I'd appreciate it if your story doesn't contradict that, though it doesn't have to follow the same lines.
55. Master/Jack, Nine/Jack - The Valiant: Nine is dead and the Master never got to meet him.
56. Action/Adventure - Jack (and anyone else you wish, including Ocs) I'd love to see a space opera/sci-fi type story set in the 51st century: it can be pre-Torchwood TimeAgent!Jack or post-Torchwood Immortal!Jack or even AU never-met-the-Doctor Jack, other AUs of your choice. I would just love some pew-pew-pew! lasers and aliens and spaceship type story with Jack in it. Doesn't have to have sex but easily can. Caveat: please no post CoE angst/drama, Jack can have totally forgotten the misery of the 21st century, or have come to terms with it or be set before or whatever but I'm not interested in more CoE processing.
57. Mpreg - a previous time Jack was pregnant and didn't have the other parent to support him (if it's during his two missing years than please remember he needs to have been pregnant at least one other time, because he obviously remembers something). Explore Jack's thoughts as he finds out he's expecting and gets bigger, what happened to the other parent (preferably another male, but it's up to the filler), how he does his job and why he says he's never doing it again: hard labor/stillborn baby/it got taken away/whatever. Just a character study of Jack when he's pregnant and alone
58. Humour/Crack: One too many violations and the police takes away Jack's driving license and they don't give it back until he took remedial classes and re-qualified. His team refuses to amend the records because they agree. Can be AU if you want a canon character (Gwen? Rhys? retconned!Ianto? Andy?) to be the driving instructor, and of course Jack would attempt to seduce them. (Author's choice if he succeeds.)
59. "Dinosaurs? Had 'em for breakfast. Had to, only source of pre-killed food protein after the asteroid crashed." [Quote from Fragments] Basically: how did Jack survive the extinction event?
60. Jack/Ianto, Jack/other people - Either during S1 or S2 or in-between: in rather anticlimactic turn of events Jack becomes mortal. He promptly develops a mid-life crisis and leaves Torchwood high and dry. He does stupid things, like squandering money, buying a sports car, searching for adventure, drunken promiscuity – resulting in accidental pregnancy/pregnancies (OFC and/or Jack—the father of Jack's child can be Ianto because when Jack was drunk on several occasions, he automatically went "home" to Ianto just couldn't remember the next morning) – all in a desperate, panicky search for a life worth living, gorgeous, loving partner(s), family, children, vocation, a dog and a white picket fence – or alternatively, a working Vortex Manipulator. Meanwhile, the team is struggling, understaffed; still, they try to help Jack, clean up his messes and attempt to beat a little sense into him. Exploration of each team member's personal relationship with Jack is a plus.
61. Jack/Ianto, Jack/alien, Jack/whoever else you want - post-CoE, Jack saves a baby alien who is the same species as Adam[s2x05]. It immediately latches onto Jack's most painful memories because those bring the most sustenance. Except, the nature of this alien is to soothe those memories, not like with Adam who was an aberration. They develop a symbiotic relationship and the alien takes the form of Ianto, takes his personality. (Jack has too few memories of Steven.) Because Jack doesn’t want to forget Ianto and as long as he doesn’t, the alien remains alive; as long as it reminds him of Ianto, Jack won't forget. Centuries pass and Jack doesn’t always remember that it isn’t really Ianto, except when it does things Ianto wouldn’t. Jack knows it manipulated his memories, but it was done mostly to free him from pain. But with the pain, it also takes away part of what Jack is, part of his humanity. The Doctor says it is unhealthy, this relationship they are having. Jack knows. He knows it cannot continue like this but he wants to prolong it for just a bit longer. (He might have gone back to Gwen and Torchwood, since this alien isn’t as vulnerable as humans are and is longer-lived, or the story takes place elsewhere.)
