The smell of fresh baked things was what drew Dominic from his book and into the kitchen. He took a moment to enjoy the little details of Hannah's sanctuary, from the scent of spices to the tray of still warm cookies, and then he sighed. He was the Minister of Magic and a very powerful man who wasn't afraid of speaking in front of the most important of men, but the subject that he was about to bring up with Hannah was sensitive enough to make him want to put it off for another day..week...year. He didn't want to frighten his little girl, but six long weeks had passed since her kidnapping and Dominic knew that Hannah needed to get on with her life. Now was one of the rare moments when they were alone without Hestia or Ernie or some well-meaning visiter there, and so the time was as right as any.

"It smells wonderful in here." Dominic said, going to hug Hannah. "It's a wonder that half of Great Britain hasn't come to take their fair share of cookies." He snagged a cookie off of the of the tray, a soft 'mmmmm of appreciation coming out unintentionally.
