"Yes, oh yes, and those for Tante Cissa, she likes blue stones," Carina chirruped happily, pointing a small finger at hairpins with sapphires in it. Then, with a swift swish of blonde hair, her attention was on another corner of the window. "That one! That one for Professeur Sinistra," she exclaimed, drawing their attention to a hair clip shaped almost like a star, the stone in it a deep purple, then grinned at Aurora. "You like it, don't you? She would look pretty, wouldn't she Papa?" She looked between the adults then bounced, never still long, then took both their hands. "Let's go get them now!"
Aurora, startled, blinked down at the child for a moment before shaking her head gently. "Carina, I couldn't possibly accept something like that, though it is very sw-"
"Papa didn't get you any Christmas gift, it could be your present!" Carina said then bestowed her most charming smile upon Aurora, innocently manipulative.
At last, Aurora turned to Aiden, her look almost imploring. If he indulged Carina, the shopkeeper would no doubt gossip about him buying gifts for her and she did not want to add to speculation at all. She herself did not believe any of the nonsense, she had seen how Narcissa Malfoy behaved with Carina and with Aiden as well and could tell there was family affection, sisterly affection even, but no emotions meant for sordid sex scandals, but it was clear others did and would be happy for any other juicy tidbits.
