Heylo peoples. This is Irish coming at you with a second character!! Everyone meet Whiskey Jian Dillinger. She is an Arcane Protector assigned to the mansion. Though not born into the life, she was recruited from a domestically violent home... that happened to be the circus. A well taught magician, assistant, trapeze artist and aerial loops artist, Whiskey has had her fair share of "air time" in the circus and uses those skills in her job as a protector. She's sarcastic but fun, the flip side to the coin that is Tatiana Vargas, and takes any chance she can to spar when someone wants to. Pranks are a usual with this one, though one would never really know who did what unless she owned up to it. But don't let her pleasant nature fool you. She's a force to be reckoned with when need be and isn't afraid to knock some heads around to get the answers she needs when she needs them. Just give her the chance. She won't admit it (or maybe she would depending on which mood you catch her in) but she's awful partial to bloodshed. Hey everyone. I want to thank all of you who've reached out to me on AIM or texts the past week/few days. I do not know who knows or just knows that I took off without warning, but I do want to sincerely apologize to each and every one of you for bailing without saying anything.

Unfortunately, I flew back to Florida last week to be with my mom, who is .. not doing well. I know that I owe many of you tags, replies, plots, and that it has been quite some time since I've posted at all or been present in chat. When I found out about my mother, it was very touch-and-go and I did not know if I would be traveling back or not, so when I received the call last week, I went without question. I know that I shouldn't have left anyone hanging in threads, but my head has not been in the space for anything past refusing to acknowledge much and reciting Buffyverse dialogue as a distraction.

I'm headed back to NC soon, once things wrap up here. I'm posting this now so that one, you have an idea of why I've been absent/awful at being an online presence; two, so that I can let you know how I plan to start replying; and three, to ask that you uh, just don't mention this. I really do appreciate kind words and knowing that someone is there, but I am unfortunately not a person who responds well to "condolences" of any sort, so I ask that instead of messaging me anything of the like, that we just both ignore the elephant in the room :P I'm dealing how I can. Promise.

On the note of number two, replying: I am going to be posting one more reply in all of my open threads as of right now, but to basically end them/wrap them up so that they can close. I'm doing this because I honestly got myself involved in way too many at once and with everything else, know that I won't be able to do much of anything with any of them without feeling like I'm drowning again, lol. So please don't take my ending post to them personal - I'd love to continue MORE threads, but I have to limit myself. This is me admitting I have a problem. :3

All right, sorry for the block of text. I love you all dearly and am so very thankful that you're in this game, that you're here, that you're making a mark on this world we've all made together. <3 I'll be back in NC this week, most likely Thursday/Friday, and that should be when I'm back on AIM/available for chats/skype/whatever you'll have me for.

Hi again my lovelies!

And so I return to the land of RP again. I have caught up on almost all my tags (wooooot!) but if I'm missing one somehow please let me know. Thanks to everyone who was patient with me these past few days and who offered words of encouragement while I was sick.

Hello, Alchemists and vagabonds, your newest newbie is reporting for duty! I'm here to fulfill the role of Lena 2.0, and to usher in another Evoker.

Meet Eugenia a.k.a. "Genie" Byrne.



Genie works primarily as a butcher and occasionally as an electrician; if you need an emergency sirloin or an extra outlet, she's your girl. She's also a committed insomniac so if you're looking a midnight coffee mate, she'll do that too. (And if you're wondering at why there are suddenly crispy fried snails and porcini macaroons in the Azoth fridge...well, just go with it.) Genie is the friendly sort who'll strike up a chat on any topic or volunteer to drive you half across town for the sake of anything from doughnuts to dildos. Need a workout buddy? She's got boxing mitts. A club wingman? There's mascara and a miniskirt in her glove box. Your poodle needs a transplant? Genie knows a guy who knows a guy who knows where to score some canine kidneys.

( There's just one other little tiny itty bitty thing to keep in mind about Genie Byrne... )

Hello, Em here again! Ah... it feels like only yesterday I was ushering Xander Cain into the world...

And now I bring you Kenzie Byrne! She's an Evoker, obviously. If you want fun, Kenzie is your girl~ She loves to party and meet new people. It goes along with her 'jobs': she works as a DJ at a few bars, and an impromptu bartender (she pretty much just lets herself behind bars and just starts 'working'), fancies herself a fashionista (sorta runs a half-assed blog), and - of course - party girl. She loves magic (she's found a way to use it in conjecture with her DJing, adding a little zing to the air), and she's open to working with the other families. After all, they're all here and in this thing together and they've all got the magic in them.

Anyway! I'm open to all sorts of lines with her and look forward to seeing any and all threads! :)

I feel like with the influx of OOC posts today, maybe I'm not such an epic fail in the 'whoops I fell off the planet' department. However, since I am always harder on myself, I still consider myself AN EPIC FAILURE.

I have been sick the past week, YES WEEK, with what can only be described as the plague; some intensely awful disease that infected myself and eventually my boyfriend and clung to life despite copious efforts to rid myself of it. (Okay, admittedly, I worked way too much last week so no rest was gotten, but whatever) Today, though, I feel like some semblance of an actual human being again. Huzzah! Which means that since I'm not hacking my lungs out, unable to breathe, and unable to rid myself of throbbing headache, I CAN TRY TO TAG/PLAY.    \o/

I apologize to any I left hanging in regards to threads (Set, this is directed at you. PLEASE don't label me a failure and slap me with a neverending grudge <3) If there's anything I need to look at as I'm slowly getting myself back up to normal speed, direct me to it. <3333

So after a hectic two weeks or so, I'm finally free! I have to apologize for my slowness with anyone I had threads with and I'm very sorry for any I've dropped. I swear I'll make it up to you. (You know who you are, but special apologies to MJ and Willow because omfg I've been so ridiculously slow with you two that I feel awful).

Now that I've got time again, I wanted to jump into things (and omg new people and intros and things I've missed!) So going to throw out my characters again and see if anyone wants anything with them.

My apologies my loved ones. IRL has been super busy, on top of me not feeling well and being stressed out which sucks out all energy to tag, let alone be out of my bed. Unfortunately, this week does not look more promising on a busy level, but I do feel slightly better so when I have time I will be tagging, but I have no idea how much time that might be between work and a family member coming to visit. (We get a Taco party for this on Wednesday, be jealous).

Hey people, this is Retro Matt. I am here with my second character Logan Kilmartin. He’s named after the original first Arcane Protector back in Retro Alchemy. However, he is a brand new character and not a complete asshole like the original character (for those that may have been worried). He is an Arcane Protector, obviously. He specializes on hunting shadow kind, and personally feels that the arcanists are just as much a threat to the destruction of the families as any monster or hunter. He doesn’t dislike the family members exactly, he just doesn’t trust them unless given a reason. You can find out more about him on this journal, if you’d like to plot something with him leave me a custom link or leave a comment requesting one.

It has come to my attention that perhaps I put very little thought or effort into my intro post. I sort of assumed that I'd know everyone, which I was incredibly wrong about. So: I'm Chris, also known as Spaz. I have the flirty, oblivious, and obnoxiously chipper Alexander Gray, who prefers to be called Alex. He is the youngest of the Gray kids. He is super gung-ho about magic, and uses it for all sorts of mundane tasks. He is currently an exotic dancer, much to the disapproval of his brother and sister, at one of the premiere gay bars, called Sin.

I have been in chat on AIM (user name: spaz_spaz), but because I work so much it's been difficult to keep up. I have a drop box if I can't be reached, but I leave AIM running all the time. If you want to plot, or play, or shoot the shit, I'm around a few days a week, so just hit me up on AIM. Currently I am working 14 hour shifts for 4 to 5 days a week as an EMT on an Ambulance. On those days I can be a little grumpy and for that I apologize. Dealing with sick, whining, dead and dying patients can weigh heavy on the heart. Anyway, that's me, and that's Alex. <3

Activity check for August is now closed. Overall, it was a decent check but several failed to respond at all or meet the minimum requirements. For future reference;

Activity is either a thread, a text log, a phone call etc with five or more consecutive comments with 1 or more other RP partners.

Please check your threads carefully. Many of you linked incomplete threads that would not pass activity check, though we knew you had other threads that did meet check. Take your time when posting and make sure the threads you link are the right ones, and will pass check.

Also when linking your threads - please link to YOUR threads. There were multiple threads with mass-texts and we had to go searching for your specific set of replies. When it was a journal entry, mass text, etc, please link just YOUR responses. You can do this by finding the first response in your set, hitting "thread" and adding the link that follows. Lastly, when you post a completed log (like from a gdoc) please make some sort of indication of who-posted-what. Either by adding line breaks or by adding a bold or whatever, it makes it easier to read and see who did what!
