Vance had grown bored with his room, and was tired of studying for once, so he set out to wander the stores in Aiode Falls. He had a few things to get, but mostly he was just interested in window shopping, and being out in the fresh air. Even when you kept a room clean, being shut in it most of the time made the brain get a little cabin fever.

So, he had bundled up a bag for emergencies, and grabbed his collapsible cart, and wandered off to the stores. Right now, he was absorbed in trying to decide if he needed a new book by his favorite author. He had already hit the computer store, and gotten a couple of articles of new clothing. It was a nice evening, and had been a wonderful day, and he was having fun.

Annja had decided to check out the town. Immersing herself in shopping every once in a while, helped her to relax and unwind from a long day. Granted, she'd been attempting to put her two syllabuses together and that had been a bit of a struggle.

She needed a bit of fresh air. Plus, Annja realized she was seriously lacking on up to date books on Celtic Mythology. So, here she was, in search of one.

	Vance was wandering when he very nearly ran into someone. He stumbled, dodged one way, and then managed to fall on the floor, with his books, at someone's feet. His backpack went skidding away several aisles, only to be picked up and taken off by a young man who grinned at the easy take. Meanwhile, Vance just facepalmed and looked up. "Sorry!" 	Annja hadn't been paying attention herself, otherwise that would have been avoided. Wincing slightly, Annja offered out her hand to help him up. "Are you all right?" Annja felt horrible about that. "I really should have been paying attention, I apologize." She hoped he would be.

"Annja, Annja Creed," she replied, smiling slightly. "If you wanted, I could try and catch that kid who grabbed your pack?" Hey, she was all for helping him out. Especially since she felt it was her fault this had happened. It was the least she could do.

"No, it was not your fault, really. I am clumsy. I could stumble over thin air!"

He smiled at her.

"Nice to meet you, Annja. That is a beautiful name."

"Catch what?"

He looked around.

"Oh no!"

Then he rubbed his face.

"No, it just contained clothing, and a change of everything, plus spare keys and a 20 for cab fare. Nothing that cant be replaced."

He hesitated, thinking of heading back to the dorm immediately. The bag contained extra clothes for if he changed, and it he did not have it and did, he would be in trouble... but surely he would be lucky one night, right?

	Annja nodded, still not entirely sure it wasn't the least bit her fault. "Nice to meet you, too," she smiled warmly. "Oh, thank you." Her smile faded a bit at his reaction. 	"I'm an archaeologist," Annja admitted, smiling lightly. "So, a lot of my time is spent in foreign places, hunting down artifacts and evading people who want me dead." "I guess it's just our nature," Annja smiled, shrugging slightly. It had been that way all her life. After all, she never knew her parents and had an obsession with learning everything she could about the past. It helped her feel a connection to people.

"It suits you," Annja grinned, meaning nothing bad by it. "I suppose being here will help me slow down a bit, though I have to get used to it first."
