Gwen had never shot a gun before Torchwood. Sure she had been a cop but it was hardly the sort of cop that need a gun. Before Torchwood, she had hated guns. Never in her life did she think she would find comfort in shooting one. Then Torchwood came along and slowly Gwen Cooper became a new person. The sort of person who found solace with a gun.

She cocked her gun and took aim at the target. Maybe it was crazy but Gwen thought maybe just maybe she knew who took Penelope. Suzie. Gwen didn't think she hated her but Suzie did seem to enjoy torturing her.

Well, if Suzie planned on torturing Gwen, it was time Gwen fought back. She fired. She'd kill her if she had too. If No one was going to stop her, Gwen would.

	Gwen was predictable -- at least to Owen. As such, it didn't take a whole lot of thought to find her. He stood back, quietly watching Gwen as she shot. She was hurting and afraid and he didn't really blame her. He just wished he could help. And he felt bad that he'd been so wrapped up in himself lately. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Gwen stopped shooting suddenly and set her gun down. She hadn't noticed anyone coming in which was why the tears she had been holding in for days came quickly. She covered her face as she leaned heavily against the wall beside her. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Oh, hell no you're not going after her alone," he said forcefully. "I won't let you."

He smiled sheepishly. "I, uh, I was trying to see if there was anything I could do for Adele or Rufus. There wasn't, but Adele thanked me for asking. And Tim got snarly for some reason, I'm still not quite sure why, and tossed me out. If I didn't know better, I'd think he was worried about me stealing you away."

He laughed. "You know, it just occurred to me. There was a time in my life, really not that long ago, where I'd have tried to shag you right where we stand even despite being in a relationship. Which, considering the track record this place has, would probably have resulted in you getting knocked up."

She laughed before covering her mouth. "It's so nice to hear someone say something bad about him. I lost most of my friends back home when we split up. Rhys is such a catch, Gwennie. That's what they told me. They were more angry about me leaving him than he was."

She fingered the safety of her gun and nodded. "He is a fighter. Someday soon, when we get Pen back, I'm going to have to explain everything to him and at least I know he'll be open minded."
