"Please stay," said Toria with a nod. She wanted to feel safe. While the Lannister guards would keep their lord's daughter safe to the best of their ability, they wouldn't chance coming across as overly friendly. Not under these circumstances. Right now, she wanted someone to talk to her and distract her from what she'd just been through.
She wished her brothers were around, though she felt a mix of relief and worry that her lady mother was in the Keep. Her mother's presence would be comforting, but if people were willing to target Toria, knowing full well who she was...they would be willing to target Lady Lilyanna Lannister as well. Although if her mother didn't overhear anything she shouldn't, she might be fine.
"I..." She trailed off. She'd been about to admit to being scared. No, that wouldn't do. She was a Lannister. Hear me roar, she thought to herself dryly. Her roar would be rather meek at the moment. She was still a Lannister, and that meant keeping her pride in tact.
"I would greatly appreciate if you would stay, father," she said. "But if there are important matters for you to attend to as the Lord Hand, I understand."
She forced herself to put on a brave front and be a lady, despite her desire to cry into her father's shoulder. She wasn't a child and she wasn't some common girl. Appearances mattered.
