to the prince of Dorne Who: Ser Dymon Dalt, Prince Myrwin Nymeros Martell When: Send during previous post-However long it takes raven mail to get from KL to Sunspear. (Day 30) Where: Sunspear. Wherever Myrwin gets the mail. Rating: R. Status: open to myrwin, other martells.
Dymon had sent the letter by the fastest bird Maester Harmon had. He had sent the Sun troubling word of his sister before- scrapes in taverns, childhood misadventures, and gods knew a few ill-advised love affairs, but this was something different. He was rather glad he would not be anywhere nearby when his prince received this particular raven, and not leastwise because he liked his body to remain living for a few more years.
He wrote without even bothering to encode the message- the news within would be sweeping through the keep soon enough and any enemies would already know of Elia's condition.
Prince Myrwin, It is my shame that I must report I have failed in the duty you have long set me. Your sister's maid entered her room to find the princess bloodied by wounds to her side and wrists. Praise the gods, Princess Elia is alive, but I pray I may never see such a scene again. She has no memory of anything beyond retiring last evening until her maid awoke her.
There is other news to be told as well; Princess Aenyris, the daughter of Prince Rhaeys is dead by an assassin's blade- killed in her room this same night.
Maester Harmon worries Elia is not strong enough to travel even if we were able to get her out of the Keep but I must confess I fear for her safety if we remain. I have charged her guard to never more even leave her room, but would rather we returned to safer environs. We await your command, my prince.
