Narrative/Open: Do Cats Always Land On Their Feet? Who: Patsy Walker (Open) Where: New York, Rooftops When: May 13, 2016 What: Patsy is on the prowl (but as Hellcat, and is having a bit of a Friday the 13th) Rating: G
Patsy go it. She really did. Gravity was a pain in the ass. Also a pain in the ass? Not having the power of flight or some sort of rocket or booster gear. Because if she had either of those things, or if the laws of gravity (which Patsy understood as what goes up, must come down or Superheroes that perch on ledges are going to slip and fall) weren't in effect she'd be in a lot better place.
As it was, she was falling. Not far, because she had just started to scale the building- and it was a small building. Patsy was working her way up to a taller building and rooftop jumping but she wasn't quite there yet. But she was still falling, and she knew it was going to hurt at least a little.
It was fitting, this was a great way to end the day - a day that had been full of missed buses, oversleeping, and spilling cranberry juice on a white blouse. Really, Patsy knew that on Friday the 13th you should just stay in bed. But she had gone out to face the day! Because she had to work. And she had gone out to patrol because crime didn't sleep! And because she really needed the practice. Because work took up a lot of her time, and oh my gosh she really needed to figure out how to balance this crime fighting and working life. She'd have to ask her friends in the biz about that.
Right after she got some advice from them on how to fall.
