What: Kate's been hiding out in Sofia's room, so Sofia thinks they should go walk because it's starting to get all claustrophobia up in there.

( the girl seemed to pour emotions naturally )

Where: Interlochen Music Camp
What: Kate and Tommy have a heart to heart.

( Being a superhero without any powers had it's advantages.  )

What: Steve is doing his inner monologue type stuff and Kate shows up to interrupt.

( You think you can teach me something that works against falling buildings? )

Where: Xavier's Mansion
What: Kate is on a mission and asked Tommy to help, though he doesn't know what he's helping with and she wouldn't tell him unless he got her on the school grounds. He's a little unhappy with this.

Kate had just gotten out of school for the day. ( Procurring a driver was as simple as making a phonecall. )

What: Kate is taking a break from the hectic life of school, kids, and being a vigilante.

There could have been tons of other things she could have done, even if her dad would have preferred for her to stay at home, but there she was sitting near the window. Her backpack lay against her green tight covered leg. It was a defense against the cold as she was still in her uniform from school. She was going to sit here, take an hour or two to unwind, then return to the craziness that was her life. It was a much needed mini-vacation. It was the only time she could rest was sleep, and that's only if people didn't come to join her in her room and sleep with her in the massive sized bed of hers. Maybe it was a little selfish to keep the room to herself, but there was so much in there she couldn't afford anyone finding.

That room, the master bedroom, and the study were the only three rooms in the house that weren't inhabited by their guests. She used it sometimes to help kids with their homework when she was done with her own. Taking a sip of her chai tea, she looked out the window at all the snow covering the street and the people attempting to brave it. She'd have to go out there soon to try and brave it as well. It was something she wasn't really looking forward to. She'd ducked inside the Starbucks to avoid and try to forget it was there--yet she sat by the window. She thought perhaps it would have been better if she'd stuck herself by the wall in a back corner where she couldn't see anything.

For all her mettle, she couldn't forget Captain America's visit. Steve had always treated her like a child, even when she stood up to him and he knew she was right. She understood. He was ancient and she was fifteen, but it didn't make it any easier to sit back and let everything go one like she couldn't do anything. She could do something. Why did she always have to repeat it like no one was listening? It felt like no one was listening and it was aggravating. She squeezed her eyes shut in annoyance. She wasn't supposed to be thinking about that right now. She was supposed to be relaxing. You had to be of sound body and mind to be effective. If you were constantly anxiety ridden, you wouldn't be able to help anyone.
