Who: Kate Bishop & Sofia Mantega OTA When: September 28 @ Noon Where: Xavier's Mansion What: Kate's been hiding out in Sofia's room, so Sofia thinks they should go walk because it's starting to get all claustrophobia up in there.
Kate sat on the empty bed on the other side of Sofia's room. At this point, she had been reading for a few hours. Sofia knew why she was there, even if she didn't quite understand it. The girl had been using her as an excuse to be at the mansion a lot lately, but she was sure that wasn't the real reason she was there. "Do you want to go down to the kitchen?" She managed to get some sort of noncomittal sound from her. "how about a walk?" She was fine with her there, but the point was to get her out of the room where she was hiding. She finally got her to put the book down, and watched as the other girl pulled the long sleeves of her shirt down to cover her bare arm. She was alwas so self-conscious about that.

It wasn't bright and sunny, but it wasn't cold as the girls sat down outside under a tree. They'd been walking for a while, covering some places Kate hadn't really seen before. She was starting to get a better feel the school and the people attending it, who didn't seem too put off the fact that she wasn't a mutant and like...always there. Her dad wasn't too comfortable with her being there, but she didn't much care about that. He knew where she standed on a lot of issues, especially that of registration. She might not have been some super important government official, but she wasn't going to hide the fact that she was completely against the legislation.
The video that had been released a couple of weeks ago didn't make her feel any better about it either. She was wondering how Sofia was handling that, especially since she was supposed to leave the country in about two days. These were questions she'd yet to bring up, and it felt like a giant elephant in the room. Instead, they spent most of their times talking about Julian and Tommy, as Kate seemed to be having a harder time with expressing herself than Sofia did. The girl seemed to pour emotions naturally. Kate only seemed to be an expert at anger a sarcasm, both of which did not help her relationship with anyone.
She thought of watching some of the students play basketball or something. It was always fun to see how they used their unique abilities to get ahead of the others!
