Thread: Rescue Team & Friends of Humanity Who: Pyro, Pretty Boy, Avalanche, Mercury, Morph, Meltdown (NPC), and Friends of Humanity NPCs (Liz Taupier, Max Whitaker, Ronnie Drake, and whoever wants to join) When: Backdated to Friday, September 12 Where: An FOH super-secret compound where Tabitha Smith has been held and where Dominic Petros has been spying What: Things have gone too far and they have to act now, or else risk losing both Dominic and Tabitha forever. Notes: I meant to post this days ago, sorry! If this ends up dragging on I'm going to put up a conclusions post in the OOC comm to talk about what happened so the game doesn't end up freezing indefinitely for these characters. Also, to set up the scenario, I had to do a tiny bit of puppeting -- I apologize! Otherwise the plot would have dragged on uselessly for a week before we got to any action. :P
The plan was simple. Dominic was already on the inside with these people. They thought he was one of them. Which was why coming in with guns was really no big deal. And coming in with mutants was just a perfect thing. Getting them all into the compound as captives. Pyro had come up with the plan, and it sounded like a suicide trap. But the guns were for them, in case of any power-dampening. Pyro and Pretty Boy were dragged in with Avalanche. Mercury and Morph were instructed to wait outside and come in on the offensive later. Morph's skills were going to be perfect for stealth ... Pyro just hoped he'd recognize him if he took the form of an enemy to get the advantage.
He didn't know what to make of this Morph kid. Didn't know much except that he'd come from the school and insisted that he help find Tabby. They'd been Hellions together. They could use the extra body. Pyro had a feeling that Morph wasn't actually going to come back alive, but that was just a hunch.
So there they were. They had their mission. Get in, get Tabby, and get the heck out of Dodge. That was it. They couldn't take the time to destroy everyone there unless it was going extraordinarily well. If there were other mutant captives, they'd take them, too.
Pyro was waiting. Dragged into the compound and dumped. Weapons lying nearby.
"Well, well, what do we have here..." One of the FOH members (had to be, who else could it be?) came into the room, cracking his knuckles. "Dominic... don't tell me you----"
Before he could finish his sentence, Pyro's igniters were ablaze and a snaking jet of flame was twisting and diving into the man's throat. Burning him at white-hot temperatures from the inside out.
