Thread: Underaged Party!
Who: Julian Keller, Sofia Mantega, Tommy Shephard, Kate Bishop, and any other student under the age of 21 that may want to come party
When: Wednesday May 7, 2008 - 11:00 pm
Where: The Observatory (Attic Level)
What: School work, studies and the pressure of up-coming exams are just getting to be too much, so Julian takes it upon himself to throw a bit of a party for the students on the open balcony Observatory. He sent out very discreet pieces of paper giving the time, date and location earlier in the week.

It had taken him a while to decide where to attempt to have the whole shindig, but he finally narrowed it down to having it outside or near the roof. At least if they were on the roof, they were still in the mansion and not sneaking out any where. Sure there was more of a chance in getting caught, but that was part of the fun!

He had asked Tommy, now that Kate was awake, to provide the alcohol since he certainly didn't need to worry about being seen, and his speedy friend had delivered as expected. He wasn't sure where he got the alcohol, but he had gotten enough to keep the party going for hours, days, even weeks if needed. He, Julian, had also managed to swindle some extra bottles of wine from the Parker wedding up to the roof. It hadn't been too hard, but it hadn't been easy, either.

It was cool, but comfortable, and Julian sat with his back against the balcony. A plastic cup of beer in one hand, and his free arm resting around Sofia's shoulders, he took a drink from the plastic cup. "This? This is how you spend a Wednesday night." He grinned over at his brunette girlfriend before leaning over and pressing a kiss against the corner of her mouth. "Am I right, beautiful?"

Sofia wasn't too sure about the whole drinking part, but the party was definitely a much needed break from studying. The drinking would make it kind of hard to get up in the morning and or pay attention for classes, but Julian knew what he was doing...right? He had to have known. He did this sort of stuff all the time back in California, didn't he? Maybe it was peer pressure, or maybe it was just that one time to say `fuck it`, but she had a plastic cup of her own in her hand.

She wouldn't drink much. Just enough to show that she was having some semblance of fun. She was actually worrying over what was going to happen when they got caught. She didn't even know how he'd gotten the alcohol TO the balcony. They were out in the open, but she guessed they'd figure it out sooner or later, right? She was on her second cup, though, not that anyone could tell. What she could tell, was that her body was warm and so was Julian as she leaned against him, shielding herself from the cool air around them.

The kiss at the corner of her mouth would be met with a scrunch of her lips. "It is nice to have a break. What are we going to do when they find us?" It was something she hadn't asked him yet, but flying off and leaving their less fortunate friends wasn't going to look good--especially if someone caught them in the sky. It was hard to relax when you were doing something you weren't supposed to, but that was part of the fun wasn't it?

Ren honestly didn't need a party for the underage drinking thing. After all, the woman had at least three bottles of her own in her room and when she was out, she either went and bought more or borrowed from her brother until she had time to go out and get some more. So in truth, she was honestly considering not going to this shindig. Too much dealing with other people made her nervous, in the kind of way that made things happen, so she tried to stay out of it.

That and she already had a lot of mess on her mind with her relationship with Ran that was all of sudden seeming like way too much too quick. Probably because she had never really been involved with anyone for any real length of time and then adding an actual sexual element to it just made things more difficult.

So instead of sitting in her room stewing in it, she'd decided to join the impromptu party. Most people would have come through the building, but Ren had been climbing up and down to the roof for so long that it made no nevermind for her to do so. In the end, she just kinda popped up sitting on the edge of the balcony looking in toward the building. Though she didn't immediately go to get a drink, she did tap out a cigarette and lit that. She waved at the lovebirds, but didn't try to involve herself in their conversation. Easier not to do that really. After all, they were not exactly her friends. Granted, she didn't have many friends when it got right down to it. Too standoffish for that kind of thing.

Eventually, someone was going to have to give Tommy an actual challenge. A beer run? Please. He supposed he really couldn't complain, considering that he was currently sitting on the rooftop with a bottle of some unpronounceable German brew. At Julian's proclamation, Tommy raised the bottle in a salute before knocking some of the beverage back.

No, Tommy would have been lying if he said he did a lot of drinking in the past. It wasn't like his previous living conditions allowed for that kind of thing. But he was blessed with a pretty awesome metabolism that did counteract a lot of the effects. He was keeping an eye on Kate, having all but dragged her along with him for this little shindig. No, they weren't snuggly-cute the way Julian and Sofia insisted upon being, seeing as how she still told him she hated him with stunning frequency.

Girls always played hard to get that way.

Needless to say when Tommy had suggested he take her out for some fresh air, she wasn't expecting to be dragged to the mansion. More importantly, being surrounded by students drinking alcohol illegally. This wasn't going to look good no matter how she tried to talk her way out of it, but she was kind of stuck.

Either she just sat where she was with all of them, who were happy to see her okay, and continue to nurse non-alcoholic drinks OR try to leave and alert the faculty and staff where all the others were considering she wasn't supposed to be there to begin with. She had actually thought of participating, except for the part where it was illegal and against her moral standings, but it was an `everyone is doing it` sort of thing. When in Rome? She just didn't feel like it was her style.

Unlike Tommy, she'd drank on several occassions. At times, it was the only way to get through an event, she'd found. She wasn't a drunk, per se, but rather, rich folk liked to start their children off young. It was their way of preparing them for stressful situations so maybe a glass or two wouldn't hurt. No, she couldn't show that she condoned this sort of behavior without supervision.

Studying. That's what she should have been doing. It was way past her bedtime, considering how early she got up every day. But Paige thought it best that she go to the shindig her roommate was pestering her to attend.

Not bothering to don shoes, Paige made her way to the observatory being careful to avoid being caught. Even if she'd been stopped, she was a complete workaholic when it came to school work. It was easy enough to say she was taking a break from her studies or even going somewhere else to work something out.

Paige stifled a yawn as she slipped into the area as unobtrusively as possible. "Yo," she said with a small smile, completely okay with interrupting Julian and Sofia's PDA.
