Thread: Rogue and Remedy
Who; Elvyran Adelaide and Marie Allerdyce
When; Tuesday, February 27th, early afternoon
Where; Bubba's tattoo parlor
What; Elvyran agreed to heal Rogue's ankle -- less because he's Just That Nice and more because he just wants to stick his hand in someone.

So Rogue was part of the Brotherhood. Elvyran didn't really care; she had an interesting mutation, he had a theory, and he was neutral anyway. It would be perfectly fine. And even if it wasn't ... she had poisonous skin. She could suck the life out of him. And he was going to stick his hand in her ankle.

He was indulgantly excited just thinking about it. It was the same kind of fascination he'd had over a year ago when Billy McGilly (poor kid) had lost his hand and regrown it from scratch. So Elvyran was certainly there, a little earlier than he said he would be, standing outside the tattoo place and smoking a cigarette while he waited.

Rogue was just happy that, after this trip to Salem Center, she'd be back on her own two feet --- hopefully. Assuming that this Elvyran kid's idea worked and didn't backfire and end with him dropped to the floor in a convulsing heap. Because, if that happened, then she was going to have a broken foot and ankle and a major guilt trip on top of it.

She was a little late, less because she was trying to be rude or fashionable or any of that, and more because she tended to underestimate how much time she needed to get around on these stupid crutches. But Rogue immediately recognized Elvyran; even if she'd only gotten a brief glimpse of him in the medlab, she would have remembered his height. Which... was pretty damn impressive. "Sorry," she said, a little out of breath, both from the cold and the walk from where she'd been dropped off. "I called ahead. He knows we're coming. Said we can use one of the piercing rooms so we don't freak out any customers he has." Him being Bubba, of course. Dropping Tabitha's name had helped significantly.

"It's fine." Elvyran was an early person and hardly noticed if someone was late. He knew Rogue when he saw her; he did, after all, half live in the medlab, when he wasn't with Sarena or outside.

Dropping his cigarette, Elvyran ground it into the snow with his foot, brushing hair out of his face. Reaching to open the door for her -- because it was cold out there and it really wasn't good for either of them -- he added, "Not that it should make a big difference if my powers work, but do you know if it's a clean break or a fracture?"

Granted, Rogue didn't trust most people from the school anymore, convinced that most of them wouldn't remember her as someone who used to be a student at Xavier's and, more importantly, used to be an X-Man. Woman. Whatever. But Elvyran seemed pleasant enough, or at least as though he wasn't planning on doing anything to screw her already bruised and broken body up even further.

Slowly making her way into the building, her shoulders lifted and fell as best they could with crutches under her arms. She rarely alluded to or even used the fact that she had a doctor or two in her head which meant that she was, when she concentrated on those voices anyway, somewhat up-to-snuff with doctor lingo and terms. But it did mean that she was pretty aware of what was going on with her foot from what she'd been told and what that meant. "They foot's pretty... eh. The bone's cracked in a few places, but not completely broken through. My ankle's a clean break, though. Hurts like a... well, you know."

"Bitch," he finished for her before he'd realized he'd said it -- and then he paused, chewing the inside of his lip. It had to be Sarena; she swore more than he did, and it was starting to rub off. Elvyran had noticed that happening, being affected. She was picking up on little bits of him, though they were faint and more subtle than anything else, and Elvyran was starting to take on some of her less ... charming habits here and there.

When they were in the room, he closed the door and immediately grabbed a chair so she didn't have to hobble around before opening up a foldout chair for himself nearby. "Let's see this, then." Elvyran motioned for her to put her foot up, and rather than seeming kind of skeevy for inviting Rogue to put her ankle in his lap, it was professional. It was impractical for him to go down, so her foot had to come up a bit.

"Exactly," Rogue said on her way through the door. "Thanks," she murmured, gratefully sinking in the offered chair, giving him a long look before carefully (and laboriously) managing to get her foot up and into his lap. Even though he was younger, she didn't particularly feel like she was incompetent hands, so that was comforting.

"I didn't know if you'd need to remove the cast first or not..." Reaching into the pocket of her jacket, Rogue pulled out an X-acto knife and offered it to him. "I actually don't know if this'll even cut through the cast." It wasn't like she'd ever tried to cut a cast off. "It was sort of an afterthought as I was on my way out the door."
