Log: Pyro and Rogue... and Beast!
Who: John Allerdyce and Marie Allerdyce… oh, and Beast. It’s an orgy.
When: February 11th, 2008; late evening
Where: John’s little section of the Medlab
What: Reunions and bitching and horny-ness and Beast joining in on the fun. Oh my!
Ugh. Even if it hadn’t been difficult to move around, Rogue would have been slow to bother getting to her feet after her… it wasn’t an argument exactly… but it was something with Logan. And it wasn’t sitting well. And it was tempting to ask for more painkillers and just go back to sleep. But, at some point, she had to drag herself up and find John… at least to make sure he wasn’t about to burn the school down just because they were there.
Someone had left a set of crutches by her bedside and she carefully got herself up and managed to figure out how to use them. And then quickly figured out that they were a pain in the ass to navigate with. But she managed and, albeit clumsily, got to John’s little corner of the medlab without knocking anything over. She was… well, a little concerned about seeing him. Logan had said he’d be fine, but how on earth was she supposed to know if he was going to blame her for this --- which, by all rights, he could have. “You look like I feel,” she said quietly, giving him a once over. Hell, he looked like she looked too. Like he’d gotten the shit kicked out of him.
John... well. He was doing pretty okay, under the circumstances. Battered, bruised, with his hand bound and his arm in a sling. He was more sick than anything else. Dehydrated and ill, he was pale, the dark circles under his eyes not entirely due to bruising. "You feel how I look," he quipped lamely, clearly under the influence of his painkillers. He could get up and wander around if he wanted, but he was too involved in the loopy feeling from the drugs.
At least he seemed calm, and in relatively good spirits. Drug-induced, more than likely, but she’d take it. “I thought I was going to find you ranting and raving about being here.” Here meaning Xavier’s, more than in a hospital setting. She attempted a smile, moving a little closer with a wince. “How’s your hand?” His hand, his shoulder, the rest of it. She wasn’t sure if she even wanted to ask what had happened when he was taken away.
"S'good," said John, looking down at it. "Almost lost a couple of my toes, though. They were big on the frostbite..." He chuckled dryly and shuddered, glancing back to her. "You look like shit, babe." It was as affectionate as he could possibly be, his good hand reaching out to lightly touch hers. "You ... wow, you really look like shit."
Rogue snorted softly, her fingers twitching under his touch. “They were big on testing out how hard they could hit me,” she said, echoing what he’d said. She shifted her balance to her good foot, leaning the crutches against the side of the bed and touching the mattress. “Can I?”
"C'mere." John scooted over as far as he could and reached out with his good arm, helping her into bed next to him. Cramped, but it felt right to have his wife beside him, to kiss her shoulder. "You look like shit but you're still hot," he mumbled, grinning.
They’d been literally crammed into a small, claustrophobic room for two weeks together, but between the fear and the pain and the fact that they’d been in the process of being tortured had made her feel completely distant from him. So, settling in next to him down, even though she was awkwardly dragging her foot up and struggling to find a comfortable position, it was comforting. “You don’t have to suck up right now,” she said with a small smile. “This is the one time you can tell me how terrible I look and I’m not going to mind. Rogue slipped her hand into his good hand and shut her eyes.
John nuzzled her hair, kissed her ear. "You really look awful," he muttered, snickering softly. "You look awful but you..." Well, she looked clear-headed. "No. Sorry. You're still hot. In a... victimized sort of way." He winced with he laughed, squeezing her hand. "I really thought I was gonna lose you there, babe. Either you or me or both of us were gonna go."
Rogue leaned up, turning on her side with a wince and pushing herself up on her hands to frown down at him. “This wasn’t the way this was supposed to… Shit…” She could already feel the warm in her eyes ---- she hadn’t cried once the entire time they’d been locked up. She hadn’t cried when she’d first woken up. And damn it all if she was going to start now. “I really screwed up with the Max thing. I was just trying to keep us together and instead… this is what happened.”
"You really shoulda killed him," said John with a soft snort. "He's a twisted fuck, isn't he."
Rogue shut her eyes, having to take a second to breathe deeply and not freak out at the thought of just what a twisted fuck Max was. “Yeah… I didn’t realize when I first picked him out. But… God.”
"You really thought he would keep us together? I fell in love with you, you know. Even if you're a bitch, even if you like windows way too much," said John. "We don't need some sick fuck to keep us together."
“You’ve changed since you fell in love with me. I needed --- we were fighting all the time because I was so unhappy with the Brotherhood. I just wanted to… to want the same things you do. I thought if I did then maybe we’d stop fighting about it.”
"I don't want to talk about this," John said shortly. "I don't want to talk about him unless it's about how he's going to get killed."
She blinked, swallowed and pulled away from him. “John, this isn’t just going to go away.”
"It's going to go away if you don't push it."
“Is that what you want?” she said, staring at him. “For me to just shut up and not tell you if I’m unhappy?”
"What? No, I----" John groaned, slumping back. "I don't... god damn it."
“Then what? Would you just tell me,” she said, trying not to sound snappish. Christ, she wasn’t trying to start an argument, but this sort of underlined the point, didn’t it?
"I don't think our relationship was near as bad as you thought it was," John said, staring at her. "You go and do this... you fuck with your own head, for me? You thought you had to make yourself crazy for me. What does that say about who you think I am, huh? Do you think it's easy living with the idea that you think I'm some sick, sadistic fuck?"
“I wasn’t trying to make myself crazy. I was trying to fit into your world,” she said, losing the struggle not to snap at him. “Yeah, I thought you’d like me a little better if we weren’t always at each other’s throats, John. I thought we’d be better off if I was a little more like you. It went too far but… it’s not like you’re the safe guy you bring home to mom and dad.”
"You don't have a mom and dad to bring me home to," said John, hitting below the belt with that one. "Quit worrying about that. I love you and you love me, don't you? That should be enough. So don't you ever fucking do this again, all right? All right?" He sounded more scared than anything else, and it was obvious that the experience had shaken him to the core. Not just this recent abduction, but Rogue's behavior, her breakdown.
Her expression made it obvious that he’d hit a sore spot with that comment and she didn’t answer him immediately, instead looking down and letting out a breath.
“John don’t understand? Spending my whole life doing this --- fighting and following orders and living underground. It doesn’t make me happy. It’s what you want; it’s not what I want. And you’re telling me that being in love should be enough and it’s… is it? I don’t know if it is.” Being back at here at the school, especially, was messing with her head. More than it was already messed with.
"So we----we won't live underground," said John, stroking her hair. "We'll live there sometimes... or... we won't live there... I... Please. We'll compromise. Don't do this for me."
She shifted carefully, not wanting to jostle him in the little space they hand , and pressed her cheek to his good shoulder. “I feel like I’m taking away the things you want. I just --- is this where we’re going to be twenty years from now? Still trying to compromise and scrape by on finding a solution that’s good enough.”
"I don't know, Rogue," said John quietly. "I don't know. I want you to want the things I want but I know you don't. I also don't want you changing your personality just to please me. This isn't easy, okay? It's not going to be. Just... let's take it one day at a time."
Rogue didn’t lift her head from his shoulder, not willing to move from that position. “Yeah but the sex was better, wasn’t it?” she said, with a soft lilt in her voice that made it obvious that she was trying to bring some lightheartedness to the conversation.
John snorted and wrapped his good arm around her waist, lightly biting her shoulder. "The sex was draining babe... coulda killed me," he said with a chuckle. "But what a way to die."
She made a soft, laughing noise and shook her head against his shoulder. “You know I wasn’t planning on killing you, right? I knew when to stop.” Rogue lifted her head, blinking at him, voice turning serious. “Did I freak you out? Seriously? Because… I swear. I’ll keep the freaky sex games to myself from now on.”
"I don't mind the freaky sex games as long as you're not trying to kill me," John whispered, brushing her hair back----and then he leaned down to kiss her. Slowly, lingering, letting her powers pull at him. It had been so long since he'd kissed her like this. Too long.
“I know you don’t mind some of the freaky sex games anyway,” she murmured against his mouth. She’d been purposefully keeping her distance, even before they’d been kidnapped, not wanting him to think she was acting nuts again by getting too close. Considering that the lack of physical boundaries had been one of the obvious trademarks of the personality shift. “You’re not going to think I’m losing it if I admit how much I missed draining you?”
John laughed breathlessly against her lips, and his heart was racing, panicking, even though he was letting her hold on like this. It felt familiar, it felt good, even if it was getting to the scary point. He just wanted to take her and hold her and kiss her and make love to her----it had been way too long since he'd been with her----and even longer since he'd had her when she was in her right mind. "You're not losing it, you're just kinky," he whispered.
“You have no idea---” she started, handed tangling in his hair, tilting her head, not really managing to convince herself to back off. It had been months since she’d absorbed anyone, and her skin was tingling with it. Then clarified, “You have no idea how much I missed you.”
"No, I have... heh. I have quite an idea," John said, lifting a trembling hand to her bare cheek----which really didn't help matters. "I could fuck you right now, right here... no----no, there's no 'could' involved. I'm going to."
"I don't think so, Mr. Allerdyce," came Dr. McCoy's voice from the doorway. "And I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but if you don't refrain from letting Mrs. Allerdyce use her powers on you, I'm going to have to forcibly tear you apart. None of you are nearly up for the physical activity you're suggesting."
Okay. It could be worse. Logan could have walked in on this. Although Dr. McCoy was still pretty bad. Rogue visibly flushed, although she was already a little red in the cheeks from the lifeforce transfer, and she reached up to take John’s bare hand and remove it from her cheek. “We’re not going to get a room with a lock, are we?”
"Not a chance," said Dr. McCoy demurely. "I'm sure you'll have plenty of time for reunions once you've been discharged from my medlab."
John was practically incoherent, lying back on the bed and taking a few moments to let his vision focus before he tried looking at Dr. McCoy. "Damn it, doc----"
"Don't you 'Damn it, doc' me, Mr. Allerdyce. I'm sure it will be more enjoyable for the both of you if you aren't horrifyingly injured."
“Oh, Jesus…” Rogue mumbled under her breath. She did not just heart Hank say ‘I’m sure it will be more enjoyable for the both of you’ because the last thing she needed to be factoring into her sex life was Dr. McCoy’s comments on it.
Coughing lightly, she ran gloved fingers over the back of John’s hand. “Am I getting kicked out? No more powers. Swear,” she said, marking a cross over her heart.
"You're getting kicked out," said Dr. McCoy, gesturing to the hall. "You both need rest."
John whimpered, whining irritably just to be annoying, and kissed Rogue again. "I feel better when she's here." Wrapped his arm around her, kept her from leaving the bed----and just to annoy his wife, he gave her breast a squeeze.
"Cute, but no."
“We’re married,” Rogue said, like that made any difference. And either it was just because of the situation or because she’d just taken a healthy dose of John’s psyche, but there was something whiny about the way she said it too.
John pouted and kissed her ear, giving the lobe a bite and a soothing suck. "She makes me feel better."
"Not when she's knocked you unconscious," said Dr. McCoy sternly. "Come along, Rogue. Up. Out. There's plenty of time for that later."
Rogue sighed, grumbling, before turning to give John another kiss. “No condom anyway,” she mumbled in his ear and gingerly pushed herself up off the bed, reaching for the crutches and clumsily getting to her feet. “I’m pretty sure I’d rest better if I wasn’t alone.”
"I will give you plenty of condoms when you're properly discharged from the medlab," said Dr. McCoy, chuckling when the comment caused John to roll over in disgust and bury his head under his pillow.
Rogue stared at Hank, literally mortified that he’d heard her and mumbled, “That’s okay. That’s… really… really okay.” At least it got her moving, even if she wasn’t particularly graceful about it.
"Consider it my gift of well wishes to the both of you." Dr. McCoy was clearly enjoying with this more than he should have, and soon he was taking Rogue by the shoulder and helping guide her out.
Rogue shot a look over her shoulder, back at John, with a sigh. Dammit. Things had actually been going well for all of five seconds. “Thanks, Dr. McCoy, but this is gift enough.”
