Thread: Iceman and Jubilee
Who: Bobby Drake and Jubilee
When: Mid to Late Morning, February 11, 2008
Where: The Medical Lab
What: Bobby's finally home after being away for quite some time against his own free will. He's a bit on the banged up side, so he's working on recovering in the medical lab. Hey! That's what happens when you get shot in the shoulder and no one looks at it and then your younger brother beats the crap out of you over the course of a month. But, a visit from Jubilee should help. As long as she doesn't come running in and jumping on top of Bobby in his hospital bed.
He didn't remember much of what happened after they got back to the school. He remembered Logan coming in, getting them out and then being rushed to the medical lab to have his shoulder treated and looked at. He wasn't even really sure what had happened to John and Rogue at that point. He was hoping they'd get some sort of medical treatment, too, but didn't think on it for long.
The next thing he knew when he woke up was that he was laying comfortably in the medical wing and his shoulder barely hurt. It was still sore and still had that uncomfortable throb to it, but it was nothing like it was before Logan came to rescue them. He'd have to thank Logan for that later. Maybe with a few rounds of pool and some beer. He'd think of something that Logan would enjoy.
Bobby was fairly sure he'd never been in the medical wing before. At least not as an actual patient. He was glad it wasn't blindingly white, but there was, of course, the annoying beep that all medical facilities had. There were the typical monitors registering his heart rate, and then the one reading his body temperature. Currently, it was normal, a steady 98.4. He made a face and took a deep breath, trying his best to keep himself relaxed and focused. Slowly the temperature gage began to slip from 98.4 to 90.2 to 87.5 and it continued to drop. He only stopped when he noticed a few icicles beginning to form on a few wires and the metal bars on the hospital bed.
With his temperature back up to a decent temperature, Bobby let out a relieved breath and sat up to get the cup of water sitting next to his bed.
