Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Lex, Cam and a boatload full of NPC'd muggles.
What: Blowing up France. IE: Blowing up the French MoM and Beauxbatons Academy.
Where: France.
When: Late night Sunday October 5, 2004.
Rating: High for destruction of property and many undescribed deaths.
Status: Closed/Incomplete.

Lex stared down at the table top that strewn with maps and layouts and weeks worth of planning. At first Lex thought it would be easy but once she had met up with Cam and they started discussing things she realized that they couldn't just go into head on like they had last time. It needed to be planned out and well thought up. As well as have several backup and contingency plans in case the main one failed.

Now a few weeks later she and Cam were both much stronger and almost completely healed and the time to strike was now. She leaned over and studied the layout of the school she was to infiltrate. Cam was going to Paris to destroy their ministry and she was stuck with the school. The only thing she didn't like about it was the frilly outfit she had to wear in order to blend in more.

Sighing she turned her head to the side and stared at Cam where he stood.

"Think we have everything covered? I don't know how much more planning we can do and I don't know about you but I and the teams as well, are anxious to get this done and over with. As are the bosses. They say we've stalled enough. Think we should prove to them that our stalling was for a good reason?"

"I hear they think we've been stalling because we are afraid of the wizards after what happened last time," he said with a huff, his gaze still lingering over the maps. "I'm more than ready to put that rumor to rest. Our plans are foolproof, I doubt we'll even have need of the backups, though having those in place is always a good idea."

There was a reason that both Cam and Lex were in charge of these missions and the bosses stayed back 'behind the lines'. They always got the job done, no matter what it took, and he was highly pissed that after all the time and effort they'd put in over time, their reputation was slipping on account of the mistakes made, and not by either of them, with the wizards they'd captured last time.

Cam looked to Lex out of the corner of his eyes, a small grin playing about his lips.

"You did manage to get the dress you need, didn't you?"

Better her than him, dressing for one of these missions once was more than enough as far as he was concerned.

"Do they want us to die? For if that's what they wanted then we could have just done this as they wished for us to do. With no plans, no thoughts, no nothing. We could have gone in with our guns firing and then been taken out in body bags. I wish they would just butt out and leave the mission planning to us. After all we know what we're doing much better than they do." Lex took offense at the rumors she heard going around and on more than one occasion in the past few weeks had been reprimanded for fighting with others after they teased her about being afraid of a piece of wood. It wasn't the wood she was worried about, it was the person on the other end. She still had nightmares about what that bloody bitch had done to her.

She shot him a nasty glare at his mention of the outfit she had to wear. She still didn't understand why she couldn't just wear her normal outfit and be done with it.

"Piss off Camden. Next time, its your arse in the bloody fucking dress. I'm getting tired of wearing them."

"I really doubt they care what happens to us on these missions, as long as the buildings come down, and as long as the body count is high it probably doesn't matter if we're included in the count or not. I'm not jumping into this shite feet first anymore, they can sod off and find someone who is willing to do precisely what they want, with half of our skill, if they can't allow us the time to plan. We can't underestimate these buggers again."

Unconsciously he reached down and stroked his fingers along the cast on his arm. Rabastan Lestrange had come back from the dead somehow to do that to him. No, they couldn't be underestimated at all this time.

Shaking away the thought, he looked over to her and laughed.

"I think I would give us all away if I were in a dress, little one. You on the other hand look just like a cute little fresh faced schoolgirl, and will blend in with the witches magnificently."

"Here's the thing though that they need to realize. If our bodies are included in the count then they loose their top strategists and executors. They need to use their bloody brains for something other than the scientific experiements they seem to be so fond of conducting. Bloody bastards.

"I also don't think we'll have the element of surprise like we did last time. Hence why its taken us so long to figure out when to go in. I am not overly fond of working at night, but if it gets the job done then we do it. The ass hats in charge need to realize that eventually."

Lex caught the movement of his hand out of the corner of her eye but said nothing about it. She had her own insecurities about all of this and she wasn't about to nag on him for his.

Lex just turned a withering glare on him as she flipped him the bird.

"Fucker. Next mission that requires a dress I'm locking myself in my flat and not coming out again until its done and over with."

Still scowling she reached out and grabbed the blue prints for the academy and rolled them up as well as grabbed the plans for where to plant the charges.

"Have the teams been briefed yet or are we going to have to do it on the way?"
