Bellatrix Rose Black-Lestrange ([info]afm_bella) wrote in [info]aftermidnight,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Bella and Aurora.
What: Breaking Aurora out of Mungo's and then talking.
Where: Her room at Mungo's and then the Lestrange Manor.
When: Late Wednesday night/Early Thursday morning.
Rating: Low
Status: Closed/Incomplete.

Bella glanced to the side once more, taking note of the steady, even way Rodolphus' chest rose and fell and she envied him and his ability to sleep. She had hoped that once he was home it would come easier for her like it normally did when he was around but her dreams were still plagued by nightmares and the voices were still screaming every time she closed her eyes and tried to rest. Sighing quietly she slipped from the bed, checking to make sure she hadn't disturbed him before padding across the room and out the door. The halls were dark as she made her way quickly towards her private rooms, the door open and the lights on before she set foot in it and headed straight for her closet. She should probably check on Rabastan as the last time she had seen him had only been briefly before she left the room to let him and Rodolphus have time to speak with each other but she honestly wasn't sure where he was and she had no desire to go traipsing around the manor to find him.

Dressing quickly she pulled her hair up into a messy ponytail before checking her reflection once in the mirror. Satisfied that she looked much better than she had previously she pocketed her wand and disapparated with a crack. If she couldn't sleep she might as well do something useful she thought as she appeared outside Mungo's. Ignoring the press that swarmed around her, even at the time of night that it was, Bella pushed her way through the crowd and into the hospital, grateful for the quiet that descended around her immediately. She nodded once at the guard at the door before heading for the lifts and pressing the button for Aurora's floor. Bella hadn't been there since she had left with Rodolphus on Sunday but she had promised to break Aurora out and this was the soonest she had been able to find time to get away. And, as she thought, better late then never.

As the doors opened she headed down the hallway, not even bothering to pause at the Auror guard outside her door before opening it quietly and slipping inside in case the other woman was asleep. As quietly as she could she crossed the room and pulled up a chair next to her bed and sat down in it before glancing at Aurora.

She wasn't asleep. No, Aurora was there, comfortably propped up against the pillows in a dim reading light. While catching up on sleep was vital, she felt she had caught up enough for the time being, and so there she was in the middle of the night, awake.

Of course, she always was a night bird.

Currently, she had been talking to an old friend--Septima Vector--through the journals. It was the first time she had heard from her in over a year, and admittedly, it had overwhelmed her. Her eyes blinked back tears as she jotted down a shaky reply, suddenly reliving all the loneliness and painful stabs she had felt when people she considered friends found her to be untrustworthy, a threat, a traitor even.

She knew what they had to say behind her back, it just pained her especially that not one of them had the decency to address her, versus babbling among themselves about it.

And now, thinking that all her friends had turned their backs on her, Septima suddenly popped up, and she wasn't sure how to deal with it just yet. But for now...

"Bellatrix," she whispered, green eyes immediately shooting up the instant Aurora saw her at her bedside. She was a little caught off guard and there was absolutely no telling if the other woman had seen the hurt and distressed expression she wore just those few seconds ago. Masking it all with a smile, she continued, "You made it. I was hoping to see you soon."

A small smile tugged at her lips as she settled back into her chair and took the time to really study the other woman. The last time she had really seen Aurora had been when she and Rabastan had come to the Manor for dinner and Bella had been more than a bit preoccupied that night with her husband, but now that she had the chance to really look at her, she could see why Rabastan liked her. And if she were honest, why she liked her. Aurora had been one of the first women she had ever met that did not instantly judge Rabastan for the mark on his arm or her past actions. She had looked past all that it seemed and was still with him. It pleased Bella to know that the world still held people like that and that Rabastan had managed to end up with one of them.

"I did say I would come visit you. I would have come sooner but, in all honesty? I'm having a hard time leaving Rodolphus at the moment. But he's sleeping peacefully in our room and I figured since I couldn't sleep and I would come by and see if you ready to leave this place."

Bella had caught the look on the other woman's face when she had sat down, but unless Aurora made note of it Bella was more than happy to let it go and pretend she hadn't seen anything. It really wasn't her place to say anything after all.

"So, what do you say to us getting out of here? I'm fairly certain your sick of it, and could probably use some decent food."

Aurora nodded in complete understanding. If she was in Bellatrix's position, she'd have had the same difficulty leaving Rabastan. Hell, even if he wasn't sleeping, she'd probably have stayed to watch him. But she was very pleased that she had taken the time to come see her--she really appreciated it.

Closing her journal, she diverted her full attention to the other woman. The instant she brought up leaving this place, Aurora's green eyes lit up, and a grin broadened, as she was very eager. "Gods yes," she drew out breathily, clapping her hands together.

"These white walls are killing me, and I don't care what anyone says, those vegetables that they are giving me cannot be real. They just can't be." Aurora let out a lighthearted laugh, the first true laugh she had given in a while. "Let's do this. I am ready. I've been in here for far too long."

Bella couldn't but help at her reaction. It was pretty much the same one she had every time she had to spend any sort of time inside of Mungo's walls, whether she was a patient or not. It reminded her far too much of Azkaban. In fact in her mind the only difference between the two places were the colour of the walls and the fact that there were no Dementors at Mungo's.

"Had I known I was going to get that sort of reaction from you I would have come by sooner. Sorry about that."

Bella stood from her chair and held out a hand to the other woman in case she needed help getting up.

"I have never been a big fan of white either. And I can assure you the walls in the Manor are not white. No wait, the ones in the master bathroom in the north wing are white. All the others are coloured.

"Trust me the elves will be more than happy to fix anything you might like. Plus its almost a guarantee that it will not resemble anything you've had here. Plus, it'll actually taste like food." Still smiling at the other woman she leaned to the side a bit and whistled, the door opening as one of the Auror's stuck their heads in. Quietly Bella dismissed them, informing them that they were to return to the Ministry and continue on with their duties as normal before returning her attention to Aurora.

"Then by all means we can leave whenever your ready. I have a portkey that will take us from your room straight to the manor, this way you won't have to deal with vultures outside otherwise known as the press."

Aurora beamed at Bellatrix, responding with a simple, "Well, you're here now and that's all that matters." Eyeing her hand, she sat herself fully up and slowly maneuvered so her bare legs were dangling off to the side. Now that all the warmth that had been trapped between the bedsheets was released, she let out a small shudder when the cold clung to her skin.

The last time she had actually walked was the night of the charity event, and she couldn't believe it had been that long. Ever prideful, Aurora probably would have insisted that she could stand up by herself, not a problem. However, in this particular instance she knew better; she knew she would need a little assistance, so she took Bellatrix's hand and carefully slid off the bed until her feet touched the cool ground. Wabbling some, she unconsciously gripped her hand tighter to maintain balance and to let the blood rush through her legs.

"As long as I get a little bit of color, I'll be alright," she said with a smile. "There's just something about white walls that urks me. I think it might have something to do with the fact that with white walls usually comes confinement. Or at least, that's always the feeling I get."

Oh bloody Merlin she could not wait to get her hands on real and delicious food. While Bella was talking with the Aurors, Aurora was thinking of what she might want to eat. Oddly enough a huge burger with extra pickles came to mind, and she couldn't help but crack a huge grin.

She snapped out of her reverie when the press was mentioned, and she couldn't help but grimace a little. It had been a few days now, and it was slightly astonishing that they were still stalking around in hopes to get a grasp on information. It was already difficult enough to maintain privacy--for anyone, really-- and the last thing she wanted was for the bit that she had to be taken from her.

"Thank Merlin," she sighed in relief. "I'd hate to hear what they have to say or ask. Let's go. Other than my journal, I don't have any other possessions here, it doesn't look like..." her eyes scanned around the room briefly before turning back to Bella. "And I'm sure Rabastan wouldn't mind going to my flat to grab me a few clothes and things."

Bella waited patiently as Aurora got to her feet, her grip on the other woman's hand tightening as she helped her stand. Immediately she moved closer as she wobbled, ready to wrap an arm around her waist in case she should need it but it seemed to Bella that she was going to stay on her feet.

"Gray," Bella murmured softly, shuddering at the thought. The first thing she had done after getting out of Azkaban, once she was able to that was, was redecorate the Manor, eliminating any shade of gray she could find. Everything from the carpets to the drapes to the colour of the walls had been changed if it had so much as even a line of gray. All it had done was make Bella even more antsy than she was to begin with so it had all gone.

"I despise the colour gray."

Bella wondered what was going through her head to cause that sort of grin but she figured if she needed to know Aurora would tell her. Or make her guess. If she were around Rabastan long enough Bella figured it would be a habit that she would pick up. It was one of Rabastan's that annoyed the hell out of her but she humored him with it none the less.

"I can loan you some until then. You may have to alter them a bit but I have more clothes than I know what to do with. I don't mind sharing until either Rabastan or myself can gather some of yours for you."

Scanning the room once to make sure they hadn't missed anything she stepped closer to Aurora and pulled the feather out of her pocket. With a nod she grasped it between their hands and they disappeared with a pop, only to reappear in a large sitting room.

"Welcome to the North Wing of Lestrange Manor. Home for as long as you and Rabastan wish it to be so for the two of you."

She caught the soft murmur, and she watched her a moment, curious. Bellatrix hated the color gray, and Aurora really wanted to know why. And while tempted to ask, she held her tongue, not because she thought it was a personal question or anything like that, but she decided that she'd just bring it up in conversation later. They were going to get the opportunity to talk, after all, and find out a little more about each other.

Now, if she could read Bellatrix's mind, Aurora would've cackled madly. She was goofy enough to do that--to make her play the guessing game--and best believe she'd get a huge kick out of it. It really was no wonder why she and Rabastan got on so well; the both of them seemed to be too silly for their own good.

"I really really appreciate that, thank you," she nodded appreciatively. Aurora really couldn't wait to get out of that hospital gown. She didn't want to say anything, but it was letting a little too much air in, not to mention she felt really old wearing it.

And before she knew it, they were out of the hospital and in a more homely room. She immediately glanced around, observing and taking in her surrounding. Yes, this was much better, she thought. This area was huge and she couldn't wait to see the rest of the wing. She had remembered having a conversation with Rabastan about the vastness of the manor, and how he would play hide-and-seek with his brother. It was a random little thought to have at the moment, but it was a thought that made her smile once more.

"I don't know how to say this without sounding childish, but at one point, I want to play a game of Hide-and-Seek here," she said with a chuckle. "But anyway...I know I'm sounding like a broken bloody record, but really Bellatrix, thank you so much. Your generosity means a lot."

Bella couldn't stop the laughter that bubbled up at the other woman's words as she led her over to one of the large couches in the room and sat down on an end of it, shaking her head the entire time.

"Been a while since we last did that here. Its normally a stress reliever for us. I think right before the end of the second war was the last time we played a game of Hide-n-Seek. I'm sure both Rabastan and Rodolphus will be more than up to it." She just smirked as she realized Aurora would be at a serious disadvantage over the rest of them. Bella made a note to show her some of her hiding spots so the other woman would have some sort of a fighting chance.

"Its fine Aurora. You need to get used to the Manor anyhow. Especially if you plan on staying with Rabastan for quite some time. I think he spends more time here than at his own home. But that may be because the elves cater to his every whim and give him whatever he wants. That man really is quite spoiled. And yet somehow we still manage to love and tolerate him."

She just waved a hand at her as though to say not to worry about it as she settled back against the arm of the couch, her legs tucked up underneath her.

"So what do you want first? Food, or clothes?"

Aurora sat down carefully, using the arm of the couch as support. She was still lacking a lot of strength and energy (walking to the couch was a little more difficult than she thought), and she had to remind herself that she really needed to take it easy if she wanted to get better. Also, if she wanted to be 100% well when she and Rabastan left for China.

Grinning, though, she was pleased--surprised even--to hear that Bellatrix was into the game. She would never have guessed that she played. Aurora would have just assumed that she stood at the sidelines, so to speak, and watched thoroughly in amusement. “We definitely need to make a day of it, then,” she said with a nod, “It’s been a long time since I’ve played. I’d say it’s been over a decade ago. With my sister, in fact.”

Listening to her talk about Rabastan, Aurora giggled behind the back of her hand. “Oh, I believe it,” she replied with a nod. “No doubt he’s a spoiled bugger. But Merlin, he is too damn charming for his own good, it’s bloody difficult not to love him. And far too difficult to stay mad at him, too. I tried. I even slapped him because he made me so angry once, but he just has this way about him…” she shook her head with a fond, dreamy smile on her face, “Whatever it is, he uses it to his advantage, the prat.”

She glanced down at her hospital gown and tugged on it a little to cover up her legs. Not much luck, though. Chuckling softly, Aurora glanced up at Bellatrix and said, “Clothes definitely first.I need to rid myself of St. Mungo's completely.”

"You seemed surprised by my answer. Is it really that hard to believe that I play with them? You'll soon learn that Rodolphus, Rabastan, and I are not what everyone makes us out to be. Rodolphus is my husband and Rabastan is my brother. Family is family. Even when that family is being incredibly stupid and idiotic and wakes you up at the crack of dawn so you can play hide and seek with them." She just grinned at the memory. Rodolphus and Rabastan had all but pounced on her, begging for her to play with them, even though the sun hadn't even risen yet. She had agreed, only to have fallen asleep in her hiding place. Served them right though for waking her up when they did.

"He is, incredibly much so. But he's still Rabastan and we still love him. Even when he is being an incredible arse. And trust me, it most likely won't be the last time you slap him. I've hit Rodolphus more than once for being a complete and utter ass. Goes along with the territory of them being Lestrange's. After a while you get used to it and in some cases even start to find it amusing and cute. Or at least I do. Then again that may come from having been married to Rodolphus for as long as I have been."

Bella glanced at the hospital gown Aurora wore, a shudder racing through her as memories of the last time she had worn something like that flashed through her mind.

"I don't blame you." Immediately she summoned a elf and sent it off with orders to gather appropriate sleeping clothes for Aurora from her personal rooms in the east wing before returning her attention to the other woman.

"Can I ask you a question? In all seriousness now, I need to know something. For my own personal being that is."

As Bellatrix went on, Aurora's grin simply broadened. She may have been shocked to hear that the other woman enjoyed Hide-and-Seek, but she was glad that she was finding that out. The fact that she valued her family so very much was also a plus. This was a side of her that Aurora had obviously never seen before, but it was nice that she was getting the opportunity to see it. It was a very huge contrast to what she was commonly perceived as by everyone--society. Of course, she knew that she could never tell anyone about it(save for Septima, maybe), as it would most definitely fall on deaf ears.

"I imagine I will. I already find half the things he does amusing and cute. Of course, I still have every intention of keeping him on his toes, keeping him in place. So hopefully I won't grow to be so enraptured in his cuteness that I pardon him from a few good slaps." Aurora smirked lightheartedly at her. It then dawned on her that she probably wouldn't have that problem of holding back, as the first time she slapped him, he had actually encouraged it. It made her wonder if he...liked catching a few wrathful hits.

Huh.

Her eyes followed the house elf until it disappeared before turning their attention back to Bellatrix. She wiggled more comfortably into the cushions, smiling softly. "Yes, of course," she answered with a nod. Part of her wondered if she ought to be nervous or not.

Bella stared at her quietly for some time as she tried to figure out how best to ask what she wanted to know without coming across as being bitchy or vindictive, for that was not her intention at all. But she wanted to know, she needed to know, and the only way she was going to find out was to ask for she had a feeling this topic was one that Rabastan avoided with her and Bella felt that if Aurora was going to be a permanent fixture in their family then they needed to understand each other completely. Especially when it came to one thing in particular.

"Have you truly accepted who and what Rabastan is, as well as who and what Rodolphus and I are? Its one thing to pretend it doesn't exist or to pretend to not acknowledge it but," she paused as she turned her arm over, the glamour she wore dropping and the mark appeared on her arm. "This does not go away, nor will it ever go away. Just because our Lord is dead does not mean we change as people. Being a Death Eater was never just about a cause. Its a way of life for most of us. And we can not erase that part of ourselves. We can not take out the Death Eater and toss it away simply because the world changes. To do so would change who we are fundamentally.

"Is that something you have considered and accepted? I am not trying to frighten you away Aurora, nor am I trying to run you off but I feel that if you are going to be a part of this family, and it seems that that is where things are headed, then you personally need to be able to accept not only Rabastan's past and the fact that that past may happen again in the future, especially with us in the first stages of a third war, but mine and Rodolphus' past as well."

Oh. Well, Aurora couldn't say that she was surprised that this was being brought up. She had wondered a time or two when this conversation would arise, and at the time--which was a few months ago--she asked herself what she would say when it did. If one had asked her then, however…she really wouldn’t have been able to give any sort of answer.

She listened closely, her expression calm and attentive. Aurora needed to take everything in, let it all settle and collect her own thoughts before she answered. Her eyes had fallen onto the mark, and for a long moment, that was all she was staring at. Finally, she sucked in a quiet breath and looked up to meet Bellatrix’s gaze firmly. This wasn’t one of those conversations where one could fidget around and avoid eye contact.

“I’ve pondered this,” she began, her voice soft, but laced with confidence, sincerity, and all seriousness. “I’ve picked my brain down to every nerve and vessel, and I’m not going to lie to you and say that I’ve accepted it from the beginning. Because I didn’t. I went through months of endless and internal battles within myself and it was really difficult to wrap my mind around. As I’m sure you know, I’m apart of the Ord--” she caught herself and shook her head briefly, “I was apart of the Order, and that will always be apart of me. I may not have a mark, but it’s imprinted somewhere within me, and within that imprint lies a lot of the beliefs that we fought for.”

A small smile tugged the corner of her lips as she continued, “Now, this is probably where people start to question my sanity. I have a mind that is receptive to new and different ideas and opinions opposed to mine. I’ve always been that way. It might bethe Ravenclaw in me, I don't know. I have the strength to disagree and argue my point, but I also have the strength to be open-minded and understand another's, even if it will get me in trouble. Which, it clearly has. I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with being open to different views far opposite of my own, and people seem to now perceive me as…a bad person because of it.”

“So, what I’m getting at is, that as being once apart of a group myself, I can understand. Your description of being a Death Eater is not different than being an Order Member. The only difference is what is being fought for. Now, I don’t agree with the actions or the beliefs of a Death Eater, and Rabastan I believe knows that, but I have a great enough--a great enough understanding to respect your opinions and your views and accept them. And I hope that I can get that same level respect.” Aurora tucked a lock of red hair before her ear and nodded once. “Though I hope it’s safe to assume that I have,” she chuckled some, “I mean, none of you have shunned me for being a former Order member, so…”

"I would have thought there was something wrong, that you were being put up to this or that somehow it was a trap if you had accepted it from the beginning. If that had been the case, you and I would not be sitting here having this conversation. For I would have found a way to destroy you immediately before you could destroy myself or my family. You'll learn rather quickly that my family, is everything to me. What I do, what I fight for and what I believe in is to make sure that they stay safe. All of them, but more importantly so that Rodolphus stays safe and in turn Rabastan because he is a huge factor in Rodolphus' life.

"And contrary to popular belief, when it comes to my family, I am rather open to new views and opinions. Especially if it means that one in my family is happy. And Rabastan is the happiest I have ever seen him before. So yes, I have over looked the fact that you were an Order member. But personally I think their fools for having outcast you simply because of someone you chose to date or fall in love with. Then again, I've seen people disowned for less. But that comes with the territory of being who and what I am and the world I come from."

Bella would have cracked a smile at her words, but she really didn't think that the next words that were going to come out of her mouth were ones that should be preceded by a smile, so instead she kept a smooth impassive look on her face while she continued to listen to the other woman.

"Yes, and no. What we fight for is not the only difference between us. There is also one other big difference and it worries me that its something you may never be able to accept. We fight for what we believe in any way we can. Using any methods open to us and we do it without a second thought given to it for that is how we were raised. Even more so when our families or loved ones are threatened. Even if it means killing that which stands in our way, we do it. For that is what we know. If you threaten or harm one of our own it is not going to go unpunished, nor will it. And its not even a thought that crosses most of our minds. Its habit.

"How much do you remember from when we rescued you from where you were being held? How much do you remember of what happened?"

Well damn. That was pretty straightforward. The idea of being destroyed, as Bellatrix had so eloquently put it, brought a slight shiver down her spine. Aurora couldn't help but envision the scene of her...annihilation--and it wasn't particularly pretty. And the funny thing about that was that she was almost positive that her little scenario was child's play compared to what could have been the real thing. Wetting her lips, Aurora nodded in understanding. She probably would have said something, but...weirdly enough, her mind was still a little occupied with her death scenario.

Snapping out it, though, Aurora couldn't help but grin. It pleased her more than she could express to know that she was the reason for Rabastan's happiness. “Well, I want you to know that he makes me just as happy. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this way and…I don’t regret falling in love with him.” She shook her head, and then out of no where, a small surge of irritation hit her.

“Oh, don’t even get me started on the Order. Or at least, certain people from the Order. For one thing, no one had the courtesy to formally tell me that I had been removed, I figured it out on my own when I was blocked from all of the Order Member journal entries. Secondly, I told of my relationship to those that I personally felt needed to know; people that I wanted to know, when I felt comfortable doing so. But because I didn’t tell everyone from the Order immediately, suddenly I was keeping it this whole big secret and furthermore, was not given a chance to tell them. But my romantic life is my business, is it not? I truly wasn’t aware that I needed to let everyone in on my personal life. Didn’t realize that I had lost the right to privacy.”

“I’m not an idiot, I know things have been said, but I find it rude that my business was distributed and discussed among people of whom it does and never concerned.” her eyes flickered with anger, but at the same time she was relieved to be letting all of this bottled up content escape. She hadn’t said anything to anyone, and it was about time she did, finally. She deserved to vent, no body else seemed to have a problem doing so. Blinking, she let out a sigh. “I’m sorry for that. I just--it has been bothering me for quite some time. But it’s done. I’m with Rabastan, and I’m happy. And that’s what matters. I deserve to be happy.”

She fell silent then, giving the other woman the opportunity to talk. Aurora did frown a little, shifting a little uncomfortably in her spot. “I get that. I do, Bellatrix. But I’m just not particularly keen on killing. It doesn’t matter who does it, and for what reason, it’s always unsettling. And it’s hard because a part of me wants to go the ‘ignorance is bliss’ route, but then the other part of me wants Rabastan to tell me when he--just when--you know. I won’t like it…I never will, but--I want to keep things honest between us, you know?” She hoped Bellatrix understood what she was trying to say because it sure as hell was sounding like a bunch of jibber in her mind.

Now as for the rescue…that was still a bit of a foggy area. Aurora bit her lip, looking down as she closed her eyes and tried to find a little bit remembrance in her head. “Um…” she shook her head. “Screaming…a lot of screaming…I’m--sorry, I really don’t remember, it’s all a blur still. I think the man, the one who tried to kill Rabastan…he was the one screaming?” Aurora looked up at her.

Bella just laughed softly at the look on Aurora's face and the wheels she could see turning in her head.

"Stop panicking Aurora, and stop trying to picture it. It'll only drive you crazy if you try. I'm not going to do anything to you. I actually, happen to like you. And that is very rare for me. Its even rarer for me to accept an outsider into the family. For the longest time its been just Rodolphus, Rabastan, and myself. I have problems letting outsiders in for fear of what they may do to my family. Of the ways they could hurt or kill Rodolphus and Rabastan. And that is not something I can handle or deal with. The thought tends to either make me go catatonic or sends me into a rage.

"But that is beside the point. My point was that, I am happy that Rabastan has you. He has been incredibly happy since having met you and for as long as I have known him, which is a very long time, his being happy is all I have ever wanted. And if that's with you, then so be it. I don't care if you were an Order member. He's happy. That's all that matters."

Bella couldn't help but laugh softly at the sudden anger that came from the other woman. Aurora did every right to be upset and angry. After all she had been ousted from a group she belonged to because of the ideals it held. Its not like she had belonged to it so that they could judge her personal and private life And yet they had done just that. It amazed Bella some days just how hypocritical the other side could be. It amazed her even more how petty and childish they could be even though after all this time you would think that nothing they did would amaze her when it came to them and yet it did time and time again.

"I know your not. And I'm not saying that you should just accept it without a second thought or doubt. What I am saying is this. When things happen, when we do things that We think are necessary, when it crosses that line and heads into areas shaded in gray that for the most part we have a good reason for doing the morally unjust and discarded. Contrary to popular belief we do not go around just randomly killing people. Most of the times there is a damn good reason for it, and I know in my case its to protect one of those who are most important in this world.

"You need to know that a time may come when Rabastan throws the rules out the window and does whatever deems necessary because someone he holds dear is in danger. I don't want you to look at him badly for something that is second nature. Not only for him but for the rest of us as well."

Bella just nodded once at her words, a dark smile curling her lips as the sound of his screams filled her head once more. It had been just as good then as it had been when she had caught him outside Rabastan's flat.

"He was yes, but he wasn't the only one. I had a personal run-in with a girl who seems to think my husband belongs to her. But that was not my point. My point was this. In situations like that? We react in one way and one way only. And that way is most likely something you don't or won't agree with. But for us, the only way we know to eliminate the threat is to make sure it no longer exists. Its how we are, and how we work.

"Especially myself. For Rabastan it may be different, I honestly don't know. But I do know that for myself those who threaten me or my family? Do not live for long after wards as I will not take the chance of them being able to harm them and the best to ensure that happens is for them to be dead. And that does not bother me. My family will always come first."
