Who: Bella and Rodolphus (cause mine and Nikki's muses are impatient little buggers) What: An actual reunion. Where: His private room in St. Mungo's and then the Lestrange Manor. When: Sunday Night, September 21, 2004. Rating: I have no idea. Status: Closed/Incomplete.
Bella sat quietly in the chair next to his bed, the same place she had been since they had arrived at St. Mungo's. She kept waiting for it to be a dream, kept waiting for this to all end and for her to wake up and him to still be gone. But it wasn't changing, it hadn't changed and part of her wasn't sure how to react to that, or the whole damn situation for that matter. Even though he had tried to keep everything that was wrong with him from her, Bella had eventually found out. Especially after Andromeda had had her sign the papers for something called a surgery to fix some of the things they couldn't with magic.
She had glanced quickly through the papers, taking note of everything Andromeda had marked as having been repaired or needed to be repaired and it had caused the blood in her veins to turn cold at all it. Rodolphus was lucky to be alive after all of that and she had signed the papers quickly before giving them back to her sister. They had tried to remove her from the room after that, stating she needed to take a break while they worked but she had refused, even going so far as to draw her wand to get her point across and after several minutes of arguing her sister had allowed her to stay.
That had been yesterday. She hadn't spoken to Rodolphus since sometime on Friday after their bond had finally kicked in and they had found them. Being this close to him all she wanted to do was talk to him or lay next to him, but she had been forbidden from doing that as well. Her sister wanted to make sure her shoulder had healed properly after the stupid muggle bitch had shot her. Bella had protested once more, but Andromeda hadn't given in that time. She had charmed her arm in place, making sure Bella couldn't move it so that the muscles could heal properly before charming her to her chair. It irritated Bella but she went along with it.
Shifting about in her chair she winced as pain flared in her shoulder before she settled back down once more, her head resting on her fist as she let her eyes slip closed for a moment, trying to give her mind a break from the millions of thoughts that were running through it. She wouldn't sleep, not until she knew for sure that he was completely and utterly fine but until then it wouldn't hurt to just let her eyes rest for a moment.
