Justin had to jump back into the doorway of Flourish & Blotts to avoid being crushed as a crowd of children, followed closely by their mothers, stampeded past the book store's entrance. Checking for oncoming traffic before attempting to leave the shop again, Justin decided that this most recent brush with death served him right for buying into the hype about these magic journals. Floating between his parent's country estate and London, occasional holidays to the European mainland, and now daily shopping trips to Diagon Alley, gradation may have been the worst thing to ever happen to him. A distraction was what he needed, something to catch his attention, which is why he waited everyday to hear back about his application to join the ranks of the Auror training program.
Dropping the bag of books he had picked up from Flourish & Blotts on a bench before plopping down next to it, Justin absent-mindedly watched the people pass him by. The day was still young, not even noon yet, and he was already bored. He could go back to his flat and practice that vanishing spell that he dug out of an old transfiguration book he had bought the last time he was in France but it was a nice day and Justin knew he should spend some time outside among people other than Wisteria Court's house elves. Perhaps he could spend the day at Regent's Park with the muggles. A corn dog was sounding pretty good at the moment.
"Voldemort return and strike me dead," he muttered to himself, throwing his head back to watch the clouds pass above him. Today had perfect flying weather...
