Percy stood quietly in the shadows of the moving staircases and watched Alicia, Katie and Angelina creep down from Gryffindor Tower after hours. For all of their vaunted sneakiness, they were really quite predictable. When Gryffindor won, there would be a party in the Tower to celebrate. By the time it was eleven o'clock, the supply of snack foods would be gone. By eleven fifteen, this dilema would have sparked a debate wherein the twins would have volunteered the contents of their experimental potion-confections only to be voted down by an overwhelming margin.
And so it was by eleven thirty-six (plus or minus four and half minutes), the three lady Chasers would be headed toward the kitchens.
And so it was that he would be redirecting the prefects on patrol toward locations other than their line of travel. Perhaps he wasn't the most demonstrative of Lion Supporters, but he did his part like he did most things – in his own way.
Once they were safely back in the Tower with their armloads of food, Percy retreated to the Head Student Study to sneak on of his potions so he could continue his self-study course on Ministry Regulations secure in the knowledge that his friends would have a better time without Head Boy Stick in the Mud to dampen the mood.
