Terence fingered the ends of her hair and smiled at the sun streaks he found there. He considered each lightened lock a personal victory. They were shining signposts of the life they were building together in this foreign place. The second best idea he'd ever had was accepting a year long Quidditch exchange on the heels of their wedding. It had given them both the space they so desperately needed to learn to be together the way they were meant to be
Melinda looked back over her shoulder at him to see if he was trying to attract her attention. He just smiled and shrugged and she turned back to her oversized potions tome. As she settled back to her reading, she leaned more heavily against him. Terence wrapped his arms around her waist, careful not to disturb her studying again.
Leaning his head back against the chaise lounge's cushion, he closed his eyes and smiled.
He did so love this sun-kissed life and his sun-kissed wife.
