Susan couldn't help but grin at his usual Trixie Belding comment. Her smile disappeared rather quickly, however, when the knock came at the door.
When Terry moved away, Susan resumed her pacing, because honestly what else was there for her to do? Despite Terry's words, she couldn't stop the feeling of dread that settled in the pit of her stomach at the thought of his mother. What if she hated Susan even more than she already did? Worse, what if she hated the baby?
Well, if that was the case, Terry's mother or not, Susan would ask her to leave.
