As they cooked, Josiah talking a blue streak, James moved into the living area and straightened up quickly before moving into the bedroom. She swiftly changed the sheets, gathering up their clothes from the night before (and slipping on a pair of shorts she got from the half a drawer she'd claimed as her own by this point) and tossing it all into the laundry hamper.
The bathroom took a little longer (honestly, if they were ever going to live together, they were going to have to have a long talk about the different ways men and women defined 'clean'), but finally, after she'd been gone about fifteen minutes, James deemed it acceptable and returned to the kitchen.
"Everything's ready for them," she murmured against Josiah's ear, slipping her arms around his waist from behind to give him a quick squeeze. "What else do you need?"
