WHAT: The 6th & 7th Year Muggle Studies class performs
Romeo & JulietWHO: Hogwarts students, anyone who came to the castle for a day. Unfortunately, castle wards do prohibit the families of Muggleborn students from attending.
WHEN: Sunday, 3:00PM
WHERE: Hogwarts, Great Hall
Professor Burbage thought it was a good idea to put on Shakespeare, and of course she chose the most cliched play for school-age students --
Romeo and Juliet. The Great Hall is transfigured into a stage and small auditorium. The costumes are a strange mismatch of Muggle and magical, but at least the time period is right. The show goes off fairly well, excepting a mishap with the fake blood during Mercutio's death scene and the fact that the balcony wobbled and creaked. Also, someone had stage fright and got sick just off stage (if it was you, own up to it!). Otherwise, everyone enjoyed it and probably laughed at the funny and the not-supposed-to-be-funny bits.
ETA: Apparently some Slytherins decided to convince Peeves to throw rotten vegetables at the stage, so the play was interrupted fora time just before Act III.
