WHAT: Alice and Neville go visit the farm

Neville and Alice arrived at the dairy farm by apparation around mid-morning. Though the sun was up, the air was still chill and the ground damp from the evening dew. It was much better than the almost freezing rain they left back at home. The old two story house seemed sturdy, but antiquated, with its mismatched brick and latticed windows. Neville watched the cows graze as they walked along.

WHEN: Tuesday, mid afternoon
WHERE: Ministry of Magic, Department of Magical Games and Sports
WHAT: James has a birthday! Alice knows it.

No excitement. What kind of a birthday was that? Probably the kind that even James Potter had forgotten about until that morning, when he was woken up by an owl nipping at his bare shoulder. Also the kind of birthday in which both Mr. and Mrs. Potter were expected at work, and Mrs. Potter tied up in the afternoon with appointments so Mr. Potter couldn't even have a birthday luncheon with her. Turning 38 was proving to be, well, boring.

It hadn't finally happened, had it? James surely hadn't become an adult.

He looked up at the décor in his office. A color changing broomstick, Hermes-esque shoes that floated around the room at will, a radio tuned in to—yes—BBC Radio for sports highlights, soon to be switched over to sportTALK, and then later WWN once wizarding sports went live for the afternoon. His Hogwarts tie hung on the coat rack, swinging slightly from the passing-by of the Hermes shoes. Nothing to worry about; he was still James Potter. Luckily.

He just wished his birthday wasn't so bloody boring.

WHAT: The 6th & 7th Year Muggle Studies class performs Romeo & Juliet
WHO: Hogwarts students, anyone who came to the castle for a day. Unfortunately, castle wards do prohibit the families of Muggleborn students from attending.
WHEN: Sunday, 3:00PM
WHERE: Hogwarts, Great Hall

Professor Burbage thought it was a good idea to put on Shakespeare, and of course she chose the most cliched play for school-age students -- Romeo and Juliet. The Great Hall is transfigured into a stage and small auditorium. The costumes are a strange mismatch of Muggle and magical, but at least the time period is right. The show goes off fairly well, excepting a mishap with the fake blood during Mercutio's death scene and the fact that the balcony wobbled and creaked. Also, someone had stage fright and got sick just off stage (if it was you, own up to it!). Otherwise, everyone enjoyed it and probably laughed at the funny and the not-supposed-to-be-funny bits.

ETA: Apparently some Slytherins decided to convince Peeves to throw rotten vegetables at the stage, so the play was interrupted fora time just before Act III.
