Raising his hand to cover hers, Roger removed the pair from his cheek to gently kiss her palm before turning his attention back to the small cut marring her face. He moved his thumb in slow circles where his lips had touched.

Katie briefly ducked her head. Pressing her lips together, she glared half-heartedly and fought the flush filling her cheeks. "Don't do that."

"Very well," Roger complied. Leaning forward, he released her hand to help steady himself on the sofa and gave her a proper kiss, finding himself still surprised when she did not pull back from his advances.
