This is just a quick note to let you know that I am planning on hosting Advent Drabbles again this year. For those who are new, please to be checking out the Welcome and Rules Post in which is outlined the idea behind this com as well as the fandoms we are currently accepting.

This community is open to all fandoms, so if something you'd like to see here is missing, all we need is for you to do is comment to that welcome post and I'll add it. I will also need to add any new disclaimers to our Disclaimers Post, so be sure to comment to that post as well.

This year I'll be adding a new tag: 2009. That's so we can keep track of this year's posts.

In a day or so (after Thanksgiving in the US - *glares at torino10154*) I'll be putting up this year's prompt ideas post (screened) so you all can give me ideas for prompts for this year's Advent Calendar. *g*

Also, I'd appreciate it you'd spread the word about the com. The more playing the merrier!

So I have been pondering what prompts I should use for this year and enchanted_jae had a great idea. Her thought? That I ask all of YOU to provide the prompts.

So, here's where I throw it open to all of you. I need 23 prompts to put in our prompt table (I already got one prompt from Jae!) and I figure it'll still be a surprise since I'll likely juggle the order that they're posted in. *g*

Give me your best Advent, Solstice, Winter prompt ideas! The more the merrier, and if I get more than 23 (doubtful) then I'll draw them from a hat. :)

Now that it's getting closer to Advent, I thought it appropriate to remind everyone of the rules and provide a link to the general disclaimer post.

I also played with the community layout and I finally found one that makes tags accessible, thus, it's now easy to access informational posts and the disclaimer post if you want to link to them in your stories or art.

As a reminder, if anyone wants to add a fandom to the current list, or add to the disclaimers we already have, please let me know and I will do so.

I figured that this year, rather than redo tags for each day's posts, we could just add the tag 2008 to indicate this year vs last year, so please help keep track of things by using that tag whenever possible.

And, of course, if anyone has any suggestions about other things we can do to make this more fun let me know, otherwise, get ready to adventdrabble!

Well, it's about time to go back to the internetless house of mine, so I figured I would just do a bit of housekeeping and update the list of drabbles posted so far. If you've kept up with tagging, your stuff should be here. Is you're a new poster and I haven't added your name to the tags list let me know and I'll do it tomorrow when I'll prolly have internet access again through work. :)
