There was a really big, destructive tornado yesterday in my state, but I am fine! No damage to our house or anything, the tornado was close enough that I spent an hour in the basement at work, but still miles away and the winds didn't hit us. Thanks to everyone who poked me to inquire.

That made me have to write it in that time period...which then brought about a series of drabbles in the Seaside House Universe. (Infinity bond)

So, names have been changed... Sebastien Sallowe is Severus and Harold Ward is Harry.

Just to put everyone's mind at ease (and because sassy_cissa called me and scolded me for not posting) I'm fine. The nearest tornado is 100 miles away and doesn't look like it's heading this way.
My heart goes out to all in Moore whose lives have been devastated, however. :(
And to anyone in the path of the storms, please be safe.

This is one of those kinks that I quite like but never really draw since it works a lot better in text than in pictures. I also have no problem believing Sirius would know how to put on make-up, use a flat-iron, and run in high heels.:P

No birthday dinner out to eat as there was a massive rain and lightning storm with hail. So I took a rain check.

So had frozen buffalo wings with jalapeno poppers.

Tomorrow we have furniture arriving a new bed (our old one is 10 years old) and a dresser (I've been using a laundry basket for the past five years...) so we won't be going out then.

But we'll be celebrating Eight years of marriage anyways. ^_^

Start from the beginning

I exist! Also have working internet.

Ian drove up here on Wednesday afternoon but we've been lazy and done very little.

It's my 29th birthday today... can't wait to have my carrot cake and birthday dinner. Now if only I could decide where I'd like to go.

Guys, it's SUPER WEIRD being in a fandom where the primary medium is visual. I've never been great at finding a person's likeness in my art, but at least it was easy enough in HP to just say "hey, that's what I think Snape looks like in the books!" That isn't the case for Once. If I can't make my people look at least a little like the actors, nobody's going to know who they are.

So I've been sketching from IMDB photos and chloris's truly magnificent episode picspam, trying to get a feel for the faces I'm going to be distilling into my style as time goes on.

I'm not fully satisfied with any of these, but I can tell I'm getting a little more familiar with them.

I've got a nice finished piece all planned out in my head for her, but I've got a little breathing room because I want to do my Can't Take The Sky illustrations first.
